Afternoon all
Well shopping only came to £26.37 so I am very happy about that and I have got enough to last me the week thank God for my storecupboard and freezers.
DS just got home from school with his Science and additional Science results he did well he got A for science and A* for additional science - I just hope he does as well with Maths, English and IT but I am really proud of him
Taplady...........I know what you mean about the van we had a panic about the exhaust too, but luckily it didn't need to be replaced and the car is booked in for its MOT next Friday and fingers crossed it won't cost as much as last year to get things done on it. Then I will have to renew the tax before 31st.
Fingers crossed that the van passes and positive vibes x
Sunnyday.......... My DH wouldn't dare use my good pans - he bought them for me and knows exactly how much they cost (Over £100 and that was 20 years ago) Worth it because they are still going strong. He is a s*d for burning frying pans though and is banned from using the Tefal ones. As for the coat well done I wait for DH to go to work and have chucked loads of his stuff and he hasn't even noticed
Kazzaw..........Hope all goes well today x
Lowesy..........Sorry to hear about bro losing his job, the trouble is that firms know that they can pick and choose these days because so many people are out of work.
Tiredmum...... sorry DD1 didn't do so well in her exam it makes me feel bad about going on about DS's results send her ((( hugs))) because I also used to go to pieces when I had exams x
Oh well off to get a bit more done
keep warm all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

:jYay!!!! great news Taplady

Well i`ve managed to clean the kitchen - took longer than i thought though. Its now all sparkly and waiting for me to make it a mess again
Not touched the upstairs yet though
instead i went to the shops and came back with lots of garden tubs an troughs and suchlike  great for radishes and carrots and salad leaves etc
also managed to get one of the packs of canes which are fantastic value.
Forgot to get the salad though
i can`t be bothered to go out again so i shall have to find something else for tea, shame as i really fancied salad for a change.
I think that the upstairs can wait and i`m gonna have a lazy couple of hours as its rare that i get the chance
surfing and telly for a while methinks then later i shall brave the weather with the houndies again.
SD
EDIT Butterfly Brain - Congrats to your DS :j you must be over the moon.Planning on starting the GC again soon

RachelW1987 - Hope you're feeling better soon.
Butterfly Brain - Congratulations to DS - what a clever boy!
Sorry I don't have time to read the whole thread ...
I'm just starting back with moneysaving as I've promised myself I won't fix the car's brakes until I've paid off my credit card. The car is, therefore, out of bounds ... and I'm saving money on petrol and all the little trips to the shops for one item that see me coming home with two carriers-full.
My mum's coming over for afternoon tea on Sunday so I'm baking bread this afternoon and shall do pancakes and things tomorrow. Dinner will be chilli, rice and veg.
Hope everyone else has a good day.
