Morning all.......(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need one.

MSE: its called a fat quarter because thats what it is, instead of being a narrow quarter of a yard taken straight across the width of the fabric that gives you a 9" x 42" piece, its a fat quarter of a yard 18" x 22". You can get a lot of pieces out of a fat quarter,

Not such a nice morning. Friday routine, clean bathroom, kitchen and living room. OH out in the garden. Library after lunch.

I took a piece of braising steak out of the freezer, so need to cook that. Yesterday I went to Aldi with a list, the bill came to £35 which was exactly what I had in my purse!! That will have to lst us into April. So many bills to pay this month money is very tight.

We have to fill in the forms to go on the elctoral roll and I also have to re-send my driving licience picture, I had my photo taken without my glasses, hope they don't send it back again......

Cheers for now, may be back later.................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • Good Friday morning!!

Apologies for my self-indulgent moan yesterday, I had an early night last night after chatting to DD and it was much overdue and needed. Feeling far more positive today. DD seems to be much better with the reassurance that we will sort and intervene with school if needs be, so she's gone off to school quite happily this morning. :j

Diva: Positive vibes for you this afternoon, hope the outcome of the meeting is a good one.
EMSF: Hope the trip to you MIL's goes well, and the your OH has good news about his job.
Snoozer: Some R&R will be just what the doctor ordered, and yes, I would take the whole not operating machinery quite literally: DW, WM, hoover..... with the obvious exception being the remote control haha!! :D

I was so tired last night I forgot to finish my online shop last night, so I might need to take a trip to Mr T later, even though there is a delivery coming of all the non-food items I had been addign during the week as and when I realised we needed them . Other than that I'll do the weekly clean round of the house, and then [hopefully] look forward to being pampered on Sunday :rotfl::T.

    Have a good day!

    MMM.

Morning chums damp and wet here in north Kent but sun is forecast tomorrow .did the school run with the boys and Jack is so chuffed that his Grannys craft club have put cards into his school for the children to write in They will all be sent out to the soldiers in Afghanistan over the next few weeks,Locally our soldiers are the royal Engineers from Chatham and it will be nice for the boys to get cards from local schoolchildren wishing them a Happy Easter ,happier still if they could get home though.
History class this afternoon, and Uni tomorrow morning, so I have a busy couple of days, but at least it keeps me away from the shops
Hope everyone has a good day and for those of us who are mums will get throroughly spoilt on Sunday,Basil is back to form this morning whistling away, so what ever he got up to earlier in the week doesn't seemed to have affected his singing voice
    take care all

Butterfly - our boiler is only 5 years old and has had a problem at least once per year - its an Evo & I would avoid them like the plague.

Bitsy - its make window cleaning a lot easier and it keeps the shower door clean. The one ive bought is £3.99 from Lakeland. I hate cleaning windows but love to have clean windows iykwim.

Morning all, having a bit of a lousy day! It's chucking it down, really grey and miserable here. DS2 has got a bad cold and is throwing up everywhere! It would be now when I'm supposed to be going away this afternoon. I had asked DH if he could finish work early today so I could get off early, but he announced this morning that he's now got a meeting at 3.30 so won't be able to get home early. I only go away once a year, why does it have to be today:mad:. My neighbor has said that she will sit with them until he gets home, assuming DS2 is happy for me to go.

Sorry I just needed to vent! Better get myself ready to go.

    Mornin' everyone! :)

Been MIA a few days, started out the week with a bout of IBS which just finally settled itself Wed. That meant spending the rest of Wed and yesterday catching up on what had been 'overlooked' earlier in the week. All better now :D

We had a TV film crew here on the park Tuesday, all day, filming for a show with Lorraine Kelly to be aired sometime in the summer. Would be when I was more or less home-bound otherwise I'd of been out sneaking around taking photos, lol. Was interesting to watch even from inside tho, had a couple of the actors just out the door changing in and out of police uniforms and others dashing about . . . very exciting .

Have a load of washing in the machine and will be doing a bit of dancing with the mop. Need to get out and get a few errands done today, including banking - with a bit of luck there won't be the usual Friday queues :(. Todays dinner is tuna pasta bake with salad and tea tonight is jacket potatoes.

HSth_HUGS2.gif to one and all, I've not kept up with the thread this week, will try and do better the next.

    Hi peeps

well the weather has turned evil in the last couple of hours  freezing rain and horrible wind and the temperature has really dropped. I`m sure this wasn`t on the forecast yesterday when i checked - i seem to remember it saying that it would warm up a lot and have drizzly spells.

Got soaked whilst out with the doggies and there were only two of the regular walkers out - maybe they are peeping out the window to see when the rain will stop. Both houndies have been towelled down and are now asleep.

So far i`ve chopped a load of onions and put them in the freezer to open freeze and put all the old bread in the food processor and made breadcrumbs to freeze too. Think i shall make some stuffing later so that will be ready for the roast pork tomorrow, The kitchen needs a good clean through so i think that i shall start with that before heading off upstairs.

DH rang not so long ago and i had a good rant about the pan  he was a bit quiet :rotfl: i`ve told him that if there is a single mark/scratch/dent then he can have the full set and will be buying a new matching set for me :D i`ve had years of rubbish pans and none of them have matched and some haven`t even had handles and this is my first fully matching good set so that why it bugs me so much.

On the upside when i ranted i told him that i`ve thrown his coat in the bin and the bin men have already been and taken it :D he has a horrible old coat which is covered in grease stains and is a nasty mess but he uses it to walk the dogs despite having a few decent looking ones. It was a bunch of rags and i`ve tried to ditch it a few times but he`s always got it back. His reaction wasn`t bad so after i got off the phone i ran out and really did throw it and the bin men now really have been :rotfl:

I`ve picked up all the rubbish from the front garden in the rain and everything looks a lot better, hope that the wind dosen`t blow much more on. We get a lot of rubbish there from when the kids walk past to school and just drop whatever they have in their hands so its all sweet wrappers etc looks so much better now though.

Going to have a quick browse whilst i finish my cuppa and then make a move.

Kazzaw - Hope the funeral goes well (((HUGS)))

    Morning all.

Diva Fingers crossed for you for later. Hope things work out for you. x

kazzaw Hope the funeral goes as well as it can. x

Sunnyday I wouldn't want to be in your DH's shoes later. At least it was an excuse to get rid of his coat:rotfl: I have been out with the dog and there wasn't many people out. We have fair weather walkers round here. God knows what the do with their dogs in winter!

Hello and hugs to everyone else.

Its cold and miserable here and I really need to get off my backside and do something but can't be bothered:o The buyers of our house came for a second viewing last night as they wanted to check it's aura:rotfl:
I skinned my knuckle about 2 weeks ago and it's been sore ever since, I woke up this morning and my finger is twice it's normal size:eek:

    Good morning

The weather doesn't know what to do here, just now it was raining and now sunshine. Still, springs on its way and anythings better than the snow and ice we've had.

MSD - fingers and toes crossed for you. I only wish I could sit down with DS and sort things out. I'm not lying when I say I really dont know what we've done wrong, and its hard to find out when he wont talk to us. Its not only us, he also disowned DD at the same time.

Rubber chicken from the freezer tonight. Curry and rice for me, but OH has requested chicken, chips and curry sauce, but both easy to make.

Have a great Friday everyone, (((hugs))) if needed
