Hi everyone, Thanks for the best wishes. I'm fine - I can't praise the treatment I've had enough, it has been really good and after encountering some of the problems mum and dad have had at their hospital I am relieved I live near Bedford. I just have to wait another 2 weeks now to find out the results of the biopsy, hopefully it will sho that all the dodgy cells have been contained and that will be it.

Diva, I'm crossing my fingers for you I know that you have been really unhappy about not having contact with your nephews.

esmf73, I'm sorry about your MIL, I hope the visit goes well.

Not a lot of OSines from me but DH had to unblock the drains - a really unpleasant job, caused by a piece of someone's garden wall but we don't know who's it must have been pushed down the sewer until it reached a point where it got stuck and then built up - three of our inspection trps were full right to the tope and DH had to empty them (sorry it it's TMI). He had to buy some draining rods but it was a lot cheaper than hiring someone to do it.

I'm not supposed to operate machinery today so DH has filled the dishwasher (tee hee - do you think that's what they meant?).

Another grey day here today with heavy rain forecast for later, so I am off out to do the weekly shop early, luckily I don't need a lot this week basic things only cos my freezers are still chocca, which is lucky because this month and next month are going to be heavy on finances - I will catch up with the house work later.

Essex Girl......... I keep hearing about the new boilers breaking down all the time :( I had mine changed in October and I think I may regret it even though it was an inefficient 30 year old back boiler it only broke down twice (We have been in the house 15 years) Things are not made to last these days

Snoozer........I hope that you are ok ((((((((hugs))))))))

Diva..........Fingers crossed for later, I hope that you get the result that you need (((((((hugs)))))))

esmf73.........Hope that the news is good on DH's job x

Dinner tonight is Meatballs and Pasta
I am off for my shower before going shopping. (((((((hugs)))))) to all that need them

Will catch up later x x

    Morning everyone,

Had a busy couple of days - last night was the disco at the kids' school, which was great fun, but some of the outfits the 11 year olds were wearing were a bit much. Glad I have boys and don't have to deal with buying for girls.

W*rk today as DS1 was sick at the start of the week and I had to change my day off, it seems really strange to be getting out for work today. DS2's friend is staying over tonight, so will be making Chilli for tea, as apparently, the little carnivore thinks my veggie chilli is the best in the world!:T

Positive vibes for Diva, for later.

Hope everyone else has a great day, hugs for anyone in need or want.

Morning all and TFI Friday!!! :j:j

donny-gal - do you think they would take them back? The hole is in the leather not the sole or seam...?
MSD - will be sending some positive vibes your way chick xx
Sunnygirl - thank you, you're a sweetie xx
snoozer - glad to hear things went well

Well I found out yesterday that my brother lost his job  It's extra annoying as he was one of life's terminally unemployed people having worked in total about 5 years since he left school (he's 37!). They apparently called him into the office and told him that he wasn't good enough for the post despite telling him how pleased they were with him in the preceding weeks. I now find out that also they haven't paid him for any of the overtime he's done, or for 2 weeks of the standard hours he's done  He really suffers with low self esteem, (which I think is a massive factor to the not working) so this is the final nail in the coffin. Can't see him looking for another job now - and rather more selfishly :o, it means that my taxes are going to be paying for him and his kids AGAIN    It makes me so mad. Sorry for the rant :o

Anyway, not a great deal happening OS wise today. I was very good and made a yummy macaroni cheese last night as I didn't fancy the fish, and we've got the leftovers for our lunch today. Tonight DH and I are going out for a curry - think I might steer clear of a madras though with my stomach being how it is _pale_ :rotfl: just kidding truth be told it's much much better.

Speaking of curry it reminds me - has anyone ever been to the restaurant Imli in London? We saw it on Masterchef the other night and with Indian being DH's fave I thought I might treat him for his birthday next month.

Have a great day, hugs to all in need/want xx

    Morning all

Just a quickie before I go to work. I got ready early so I could walk but now it's raining so I'm gonna drive instead so have 5mins spare.

    Postive thoughts for MSD

Today my work kids have a fun day. They have chosen to go to Laserzone so I will be running round and shooting at them :D and then they will have an hour or so to look round shops and then home bout 3. I love my job sometimes! Although after I drop them back I have to go to a meeting in which I may end up disliking my job. We need to run a nother team of young people before end of financial year to hit our target, and the person who was meant to run it from our sister office has pulled out so my boss has asked me to do it. But I don't want to cos I will have little support and I'm enjoying the team I currently have. So we are meeting to try come up with a solution.

OS wise, need to tidy, hoover, put away laundry and empty DW later.

Dinner will be sauted new potatoes, beans and egg I think

    Have good day all

Morning quick one from me before mindee arrives.

Not sure what's for tea tonight as H is working a little bit late. Probably something quick and easy no doubt.
I need to make some biscuits at some point this morning. My mum is looking after my brothers chidren today and bringing them round this morning for some playtime with all my lot.......5 kids running about  Actually I've had 10 in my house before so this will seem quite a small group!!!!
Not sure what the weather is up to today - had a bit of rain in the night. Hope it stays dry for Sunday as we're taking the kids to see the St Patricks Day parade in Brum. Am I no longer counted as a "plastic paddy" as I am married to someone who is 2nd generation Irishman on his dad's side? ;) :rotfl:

Diva - massive vibes for this afternoon. Hope you get the result you want xx

esmf - wow that sounds like an emotionally filled day. Enjoy your time with MIL, hope your H still has a job and that the kids behave for you xx

JC - good luck for your results xx

Somkey - at overflow leading to the bathroom floor! Glad plumber managed to fix it all for you.

Essexgirl - oooh like the sound of a squeegee for my windows will have to have a nose :D

Sunnyday - I wouldn't want to be in your H's shoes when he gets back :rotfl:

mumof2 - I know exactly what you mean about time flying whilst you're on here. If I am honest there are times I've spent too long on here and not getting stuff done :o:o:o

snoozer - glad it all went well x

Have a good day OS or not. Hugs to those that need them.

    Hi everyone.

Diva - hope everything goes well for you today!

I've got a bizarre day in front of me. It's my BIL's funeral today. Some of you may remember that he died suddenly whilst on holiday in Portugal.

The funeral is quite late in the day so I won't have much time before I have to go and perform in our WI Panto! It's the 2nd of 3 performances & went really well last night despite a few hitches!

Off to work for a couple of hours now.

    Hugs to everyone in need.

Got to stop in this morning as we're being inspected for asbestos by the HA. Have decided to have a morning off painting, Mum is poppiong round later for a coffee and chat about her hols and hopefully later DS1 is coming over as its his day off and we can have a talk about his future.

Please keep everything crossed for us too as DHs van has got to have a new exhaust this morning:eek: ready for the MOT later, could really do without the expense as we havent recovered yet from last months lack of cash.

Tea tonight is fish pie - HM from the freezer with peas and parsley sauce. Jacket spud for lunch.
Hope you all have a good day x
