But do you have to fly with TCD too? If so I'd rather run another marathon tomorrow (just did the London on Sunday) than travel with them despite low low prices - you get what you pay for, beware!

    cheers ;)

I've never flown TCD so have no first hand knowledge of there service.

I do know however that they got a couple of new 747's recently so that should sort out any reliability problems that they had.

For a saving of £800 (enough for the family's Disney passes) I would go with the cheaper option.

We flew with TCD last Sept/Oct. We never had a problem, pre-paid for booked seats for the 4 of us and got the bulk head so extra space:beer: . Someone we knew also party of 4 paid for booked seats before us and were in a 3 behind 1 in front combination but got told that classsed as being together when they complained. Another friend came out a week later didn't pay for pre-booked seats and got the 3 1 combination.

When the aeroplane landed it was announced that it had made its last commercial flight-really pleased Mr Spendless that info cos he hates flying :rotfl:

So I never had a problem but it wouldn't have been others views of the same flight.

    hi thanks for your replies.

We cant go any later than the 24th. tickets are all well over £450 for the flight.

weve found another deal .. with a travel agent:
4 adults 1 child (with virgin)
    car
apartment (3 bedrooms) 'island club at lindfields'
    for £3250.

I cant find any cheap flights leaving for around 20th-24th.

Would it be better to pay an extra £250 for a villa instead of apartments?

    Hello there
Hoping to go to Orlando next year and because we have kids have to go in school holidays. And I was thinking of April but reading the threads maybe thats not the time to go?
What to go for two weeks so that only really leaves summer hols which is the best to do?
Also live near Brum and there is a new flight service called flywho which is flying from Birmingham does anyone know of any others? Are would it be worth going to Gatwick to keep costs down?
Don't know if to try and book everything sep or go for a package. I read from this thread First Choice is the best for flights?
Don't like driving but again reading threads its the only thing to do? Best to stay in ID as really want to do Universal as kids now 11 and 15 on time of holiday and have done Disneyland Paris (I know its probably alot different in sunny america rather than cold Feb Paris) But would do Disneyland for a couple of days Is this a good idea?
Thanks in advance for any opinions.
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

    Hi notakid

Flight prices are very much time of year dependant.
For my flights in Nov (me, Wiffy & toddler), American Airlines were £800 cheaper than First Choice - for much better timed/dated flights.

Just got back from two weeks (left Florida on Easter Sunday). The parks were verrrry busy by midday. Been once before in October and that was by far a better time.

    Points of note:

-Apart from airport transfers, in my opinion, there is no real need for a car. Hotels run shuttle bus services to the parks and use iridetrolley.com for getting up and down International Drive.
-Get to the parks as soon as you can in a morning. In Epcot, do the Soarin' ride first.
    - We were in a Disney hotel which included the 'Disney Dining Plan' - well worth the money but put a few pounds on !!!

    Hello there
Hoping to go to Orlando next year and because we have kids have to go in school holidays. And I was thinking of April but reading the threads maybe thats not the time to go?

We have just got back from 7 days (Easter week) and it was fab, i havnt been before but if it was busy as some have written it certainly didnt effect our time there, and it was as i expected, my kids got to do all the rides they wanted and got all the autographs and pics they wanted, the biggest signing queue we had was for the princess' in magic kingdom and that was 40 minutes, we queued no more than 10 minutes to meet power rangers, tigger, winnie the pooh, eeyore, piglet, and about 20 mins to meet mickey mouse, donald duck, minnie mouse. rides again 30 minutes was the largest we waited and we fast passed when we could, my two are 5 & 3 and loved thier trip. in 7 days we managed magical kingdom, animal kingdom, typhoon lagoon, blizzard beach, mgm & sea world and am planning to go back Easter 2008. will miss sea world next time, dont think it necessary to do twice with young kiddies, but may be able to do the bigger rides as Evie only reached 40 inches. we actually found MGM extremely quiet on the day we went, we got what we needed done by 5pm and whizzed back to magical kingdom.

we stayed in hawthorn suites just off international drive, which was fine for our short visit, ( just round the corner from sea world) if we had gone any longer we would of got a villa, as 14 days of disney would brain kill us all, and time out would of been most definately needed. we had a week with friends the week before disney so could only fit 7 days on this time, but it was enough !!!!! it was piping hot on times and the water parks were a huge relief !!! could never go during june, july or August .... the heat must be unbearable for children !!!

we hired a car too, with young children we needed to be flexible with days etc and didnt want to have to rely on bus'.
