Just as a point of interest, it would seem that Attraction Tickets Direct and Orlando Ticket Deals are one and the same, although they list different prices. It's not surprising ATD price matched Orlando so easily when I called them.

I didn't realise this and ordered from both and got the same confirmation email from each sent from the same person.
  • Hi we are hoping to go to Miami in October & need to stay in Surfside, however as this is a mostly residential area we are struggling to find a hotel or apartment.
    Can anybody recommend one?
    many thanks

Have you thought of (assuming that you drive) a 1 day, 1 way rental and drive yourself across.

Cheapest way, Amtrak it, but you would still need to get from the Amtrak station in Tampa into Tampa Bay/Clearwater.
On the Silver Star service, dep Orlando 10.30, arr Tampa 12.34 $10.

cheers mate, i can drive but to be honest, i really dont want to drive at all over there!

Is there any coach/bus services ( we will have luggage with us as well)

There certainly is a bus service in Tampa and its a very good one as well - whether it goes to excatly where you are stopping is another matter !

p.s. a one day, one way car rental would cost you £17 (all in) and would be one hell of a lot easier than getting your group (& thier luggage) on and off and on and off and on and off public transport --- and it could save you hours of holiday time as well.
  • "Until the 12th of FEb Florida Orlado Tickets have a spcial offe,r get two days free, so if you want 5 days, you can pay for a 3 day ticket and gat the two days extra free.

A base ticket (expires after 14 days and no park hopping) is $200 for an adult and children at $166, so that is $521. The eschange rate is currently good, so that is (at $1.90 to the £1) is £278."

On their website there is no mention of a 5-for 3 deal.
However, if you buy a hopper ticket for $200 extra, you get the 5 for 3 deal.

I only plan to do 1 park per day so do not need a hopper.

    Any advice?

Try looking at their 4 day base ticket with 2 exta days , better price than the three day hopper.

    http://www.floridaorlandotickets.net/cat--4-Day-Disney-World-Tickets--4daycat.html
the 2 days free is showhn in the image above the ticket price. It is also on the pages that lead to this.
  • Thanks all, booked and the tickets will be delivered to my Hotel before my arrival.

    Now to my next question.
Need to do some clothes shopping for myself and kids.
Can anyone recommend the best shopping mall to go to in and around Orlando?
  • Best Shopping MAll in Orlando is Florida MAll - biggest in Central Florida. Here you will find all the main brand names like Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle & Gap etc... If you want the outlet shopping for cheap designer gear then head over to Orlando Premium Outlets where they have the biggest area of designer names and beauty shops.

We're going out in April 2008 and have been five times before. We always make a habbit of clothes shopping and buy an extra suitcase over there as everything is cheap!! Best to travel light and buy what you need when you're out there...even if its sun cream etc as all that is cheap also and can be picked up in the many Wall Marts or K-Mart Supermarkets.

Below is a couple of links to Florida MAll and Orlando Premium Outlets:

A great book to buy in the UK now is "The Brits Guide To Disney & Orlando". You can pick this up from most high street bookshops or failing that - your local library.

    Hope this helps.

Have a great time - Pudders
