Earlydoors, when were you looking for though, I bet it wasn't half term! 22-29 October. Virgin can't do flights for 4 for under £3.2K for these dates.0

My search was for next september honeymoon. 2 weeks at disney caribbean beach came to £2100 with virgin and Merucy gave me a great deal of £2400.
It always amazes me when companies can up their costs by 50% when schools are off. I am just glad that I dont have kids....yet0 -
I found return flights for 4 adults from Gatwick to Orlando for £2104 from https://www.broadwaytravel.com
I used them last march and didnt have any problems at all.0 -

But then you qualify for a "Free Child Place", but the funny thing is if you price the holiday for just 2 adults you qualify for an "Adult Saver" so the "Free" child actually costs £300

Hi
I suppose everyone has there own way of doing things.
We went to florida last march for 3 weeks in a 4 bed villa with private pool heated, premium upgrade virgin flights, a 7 seater minivan with platinum insurance and holiday insurance for 3 adults and 1 child for £2500.00. I always check with other companys and mercury have always come out topps for me. No one came close. Best bet is to shop around, but because weve been a few times with mercury they always do a great deal, we get free upgrades and free insurance.

Thanks Mads13, because I have left it quite late for October half term I don't think I'll match any of the deals you guys have got, but Mercury have offered me flights, hotel and car for £2,300 all in. Which is better than anyone else has come up with. Some of the recommended sites/companies in this link haven't even replied to me, so I guess they can't get the flights. Thanks again Mads13, by the way, he is a hilarious guy! Apparently he does well on prices because they buy direct from US at current exchange rate, not the recommended ATOL rate? Anyway, that's what the guy said, seems to have worked for me.0

Hi
Im glad Toby at Mercury travel could help. He's great isnt he! A real scream! Yes they do buy direct from Virginin block bookings beofre most other travel agents can get them, so they are in turn able to offer the savings onto people like us!
Mercury use Dollar for car rentals which is located downstairs in International Airport, very quick and easy and usually no lineWe love it over there and suffering from Lupus and FMS, the heat really helps my pains in joints and bones etc. Hubby is doing an Architecture degree and we are hoping to move to the USA when he has fnished as the cost of living over there is sooooo cheap and will help my health. Im 30 and feel 90 at the moment
Good Luck and have a great time! You will love it...I guarentee it!!

Have you remembered to factor in the cost of health care? There's no NHS over there, which is probably why our cost of living is higher as we pay more in fuel taxes and other stuff than they do to fund it.0 -
OK guys, let me know when you are really fed up of my posts! I am a real "travel beginner". Now my hunt is on for the cheapest theme park passes, and which parks are best to visit. My daughter insists on Discovery cove - Dolphins are non-negotiable apparently. Next lot of advise welcome please - bring it on!0

If you look back through this thread you'll find some other companies mentioned but las year I used This Company, they were the cheapest for what I was looking for.0
