You could always use American Airlines from Glasgow - Chicago and then from Chicago to whereever.

    No longer unfortunately.
AA are no longer flying from Glasgow, though you still have the option of Continental to Newark.

What a bummer !!! & I'd taken the details from the AA timetable that I'd only downloaded last week. The other thing is that I hadn't realised that it was a summer only service, oh well.

I wouldn't recommend indirect flights unless you get it much cheaper. Not worth the hastle or risk of delays. Plus you might get a 30kg baggage allowance on your flight to Orlando but thats no good if your Easyjet connection only gives you 20kg.

Try expedia for flight only but look at Travelcitydirect, Flyglobespan, Virgin, Thomson, Mytravel, First Choice. I know Virgin are doing a direct flight from Glasgow during July 2007.

If your upgrading seats look at First Choice premium cabin, it looks really nice!

Good point about indirect flights. Always worth a direct route where possible.
Just looked at he FirstChoice sight but can't get any flights at the moment - maybe too far in advance

im looking for advice for accommodation . I have booked flights and am looking at the liki tiki resort in Kissimme and also Quality Inn Plaza and was wondering which would be best for visiting, as i wont have any transport...can anyone advise>?:

I have stayed in the Liki Tiki resort this year. We really loved it. The apartment was lovely (1 bed superior) and overlooked the lake and the main water pool. There were also 2 other pools one of which was very popular of an evening as it was heated and had a spa pool too. I don't know if they had transport though, email them to ask. They are pretty close to Disney but it depends whether you want to spend your whole holiday in Disney. We didn't and had a car and found it quite time consuming to get to Universal, Seaworld etc as the traffic can be quite heavy. Previously we staying in the Quality Inn Plaza on I Drive. Room very basic, no facilities for even making a cup of tea and piece of toast as there was no kettle or toaster just a coffee machine and microwave. Plus we were all stuck in one room with no balcony. Transport links though are available to all the parks.

I booked the Liki Tiki through Airline Networks (as I did flights too). It worked out cheaper than booking direct with the resort. I think we paid just over £400 for 2 weeks - I will check my previous posts soon) If you do decide to drive it's very easy to find, though we managed to get lost for about 10 mins (I blame lousy directions from the resort for getting to Hwy 192 from the airport. It's a piece of cake from the I4 though - junction 64b).

They do issue vouchers, but we have just bought from thiem though their http://www.onlineflorida.co.uk// site. The Dixie stampede tickets were vouchers, but this is usually according to the venue and we booked with the voucher numbers.

We also ordered 1 x 14 day ultimate ticket, when that arrived it was the actual ticket. This arrived recorded deleivery.

For a cheaper price try http://www.themeparkticketsdirect.com/ also better in the uniuveral flex tickets.

  • Well, it's taken 3 days but I've just read through all 58 pages of this thread. Do I win anything??? I'm not even thinking of going until Oct 07!

Anyway, a couple of quick questions at this stage. My youngest son hates fireworks. Will probably be staying in Orlando for at least a week. Does this inevitably mean being disrupted every night by Mickey's nightly show? Secondly, a swim with Dolphins is a must. Has anyone gone to Dolphin Plus, down in Key Largo? Seems a bit more "natural" than Discovery Cove. Just wondered if anyone had been through the same thought process, and which one won (DC or Dolphin Plus)?

Which Parks, what flights, what villas? A winter searching on the net awaits for me!!! And I'm sure, a lot more questions.

    Thanks all,
