    You are spot on.
Best idea is to start the day with a hearty all you can eat buffet breakfast at $3.99.
Walking around the parks all day makes you pooped, plus with many open 10-11 pm it seems a shame to break off for meals and drinks. We did manage to a couple of nights though and glad we did.
Tried the Olive Garden and Amigos on Int Drive both superb and cheap.
No fancy attire required, most just go in t shirts/shorts/trainers.

I was worried about drinking/driving when we first went to Florida. I have to tell you it is a completely different kind of holiday to any other!!

After a day at the theme parks you are too knackered to even think about going out for a drink. The kids are exhausted and just flop into bed after dinner, we then just sit around our private villa pool sipping our beer and wine from Walmart!

I took several 'going out on the town' outfits and never wore them. Just the Floirda uniform of shorts, t shirt and trianers!!

    Loved it!!

We are going to Florida next march for 3 weeks. Any suggestions on what theme tickets to buy, and where / when to buy ? It's all really confusing ! It is our first visit and my kids will be 5 & 8 both boys.

    Thanks in advance.

Me too, we went to Epcot most evenings when we were there in May and still found new things to see and do along with old favourites :)

First went to Epcot 2 years ago and it was ok. Went again this Feb and it was fab. Much more to do there.

Re tickets really think about how many days you want to spend parking. First time we went we did the lot, Disney, Universal, Seaworld, Busch Gardens etc. Absolutely exhausted. Next time we were more selective and spent just 2 days in Disney, a few in Universal, 1 in Seaworld and Discovery Cove. Much more relaxing just having days by the pool.

If you do buy Disney tickets buy non expiry that way you can use them in years to come.

Thanks Poppy 9 We have been to Euro Disney a few times do you think a couple of days in Disney would be enough in Florida ?

Also has anyone done Busch Gdns? would that be okay for an 8 & 4 year old?

My 2 went to Busch when they were 4 and 7 and they loved it. There is a lot for younger children there including a huge play area, animals, shows and smaller rides etc.

Ummm Disney Paris & Florida are 2 completely different beasts!! Florida is so much bigger....a couple of days would be fine to sample one maybe 2 at a push of the Disney parks in Florida.

    cheers ;)

  • Hi folks,

    Going to Florida next June.

We're spending 2 nights on I-Drive at the beginning and 3 at the end. We're not interested in Disney as we plan to come back in the future with some younger family but at the moment it's 6 adults.

Looking mostly at Universal as we want to do some shopping :T

What's the best ticket to buy?
