Ive been sat in my office today passing the hours away searching for a few particular flights.
    The flights are:

    London - New Delhi
    Trivandrum - Singapore
    Singapore - Los Angeles
    New York - London

So i wondered about building a RTW ticket and seeing what the price was. Let me tell you £1400 more expensive than booking the exact same flights separately.

The only benefits i can see to getting an RTW Ticket is flexibility and miles. (My bold)

    Otherwise its a rip off.
Precisely the reason it is £1,400 more expensive. Same reason a lowest economy ticket is less expensive than a fully flexible, buy a considerable margin at that.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
