shame you are miles from me:( but if you have signed through Gails Avon rather than avon website, you will probably get a very quick response anyway.

Hi claregre
yes with a moneymaker, basically the idea is you bulk buy from Avon at a discounted price, and you sell for more than you have bought it. They suggest a selling price for you to make money but if you choose to sell it for £12.50, when you have bought at £9 that is your choice.
yes you can return any unsold items. But be careful, don't return until they show on your invoice! one of my team returned her moneymaker at xmas for stuff she couldn't sell, it wasn't showing on her invoice, they credited her for the goods, but just as goods returned, not against the actual invoice which she was billed 2 campaigns later for.
Which meant she still owed avon the same amount of money she had been credited for earlier! Lesson learnt! Only return goods to Avon when they show on your invoice, not before!0 -

Just a quick question to our sales leaders....
Do you find it's worthwhile? I've been waiting to hear back from my ASM so at the moment know nothing about how it works... how you get started and what the rewards are - any advicewould be gratefully recieved

As you might have gathered, being a SL is hard work. It is not easy. But then if you want to be a top earner in Avon, you are going to have to work hard for a few years.
It does involve long hours, being let down by people who have said that they are interested.
It does take time to 'make' a profit from it. But if you consider that if you were to set up a franchise the minimum investment is £40 -£50K.
With Avon, your minimum investment is £25 and your time and effort.
It is exactly the same as being a rep. More you do, more you get. It has its ups and downs. It took me a month to really get my head around it, and I have signed up two customers and got another one tomorrow.
Ok, i have lost their sales, but to be honest, i have a massive patch and my sales are still growing without their sales, but now i do earn commission on their sales, and in the long run i will earn more.
Personally, i think that you have to be prepared to invest two years of your life. Eat, sleep, breathe avon. If you cut me in half, my kids say ive got Avon written through me, like the NO 8 rock.
I love the fact that i can work around the kids over the easter school holidays. My previous job as a manager in a large convenience store meant that they had to come to work with me and they hated it.
This week, they have been inconvenienced and removed from playtime and xbox for only 8 hours!
My youngest came out on delivery tonight and was given £1 from one of my customers. He cant wait for the next delivery!
Largely, depends on your frame of mind. Do you really want to earn in excess of £30k? Work your tail off, and in time you probably will.
My initial target is to earn £1000 per statement. Thats £18k a year. not bad for selling lippy and bubblebath.
let us all know how you get on and if you choose to go for it. Do really go for it. but accept that it is hard, doesnt drop in your lap and you will have really bad days.
have a moan and gripe on here and get back out the next day and try again.

Hugs Johanne xx You are trying so hard for that silver pc.
How much money do you need for your LO's birthday really? They are surprisingly not bothered at that age, my DD is looking forward to her birthday and the Angelina ballerina necklace she knows she is getting (can't keep anything hidden)! Grand total £3 and she couldn't care less bless her!
Another Q about moneymakers. HT states they must be returned unopened for a refund so how does that work if you sell them and then they are returned? You just suck it up?
I'm going to pop a few Avon bits on the table I am doing at a baby show on Saturday and hope I sell a few bits or make some new clients.K xx

(((Johanne))). I think you have done such a fantastic job getting to where you are already. When you shared your story a few pages back I was really inspired as to how I could make this work for me. Shame ex is making it difficult to reach your goal. However 2 year olds have no idea whether something is new/expensive. I already have stuff lurking in the loft for my 4 year old (5th birhday in June) that I picked up 2nd hand. He won't realise it is 2nd hand and if he did he wouldn't care. Pound shops are also great for stretching the pennies.C5 £202

Does anyone know if Quidco tracks Reps orders? Its offering 12% cash back so could be a good little moneyearner??''Aim for the moon, because if you miss you will still land amongst the stars''0

I'm a bit confused about that (nothing new there then
)
It surely wouldn't work for reps as we get 25% discount anyway, but it does seem that if my customers were to see it then they could get their orders 12% cheaper than they could buy from me 'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

The question about Quidco has been raised before.
Remember, no cashback is ever guaranteed.
It isn't paid out straight away, it can be upto 3 months before you receive the cashback.
And if a customer chooses to buy online, remember they have to return the product to Avon at their own expense, etc, and if they buy from you, they can return to you for an immediate refund, or exchange, without all the hassle.
And I wouldn't recommend buying customer's orders through Quidco to earn the cashback. If you need to return any of the items you are going to have to either pretend a customer has given it to you to return, having bought from elsewhere, and wait for the credit to your account to pay back the customer, etc.0 -

No - well, as far as I know. Tried it and got nothing.... Think the Quidco link only works to the retail site, not when you then get transferred to the rep site. If I'm wrong (and there is a way) please share!Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Yes MC you are right. It only tracks if you purchase through the Avon Retail site for customers but as I said above, cashback is not guaranteed and can take upto 3 months to payout. Not guaranteed money.0
