Morning all, Just had a text from a downline saying her downline placed her order at 10:02pm last night, order due in by 10pm....what will be the consequences of this?

I personally am assuming 2 minutes wont make that much of a difference....am i right?

As far as I know it won't make a jot of difference; don't worry.

Congrats yummymummy, I felt the same as you about getting people to order and so my target was to just hit HOV each campaign, and then anything else would be a bonus! I'd love to be able to get some of the figures the ladies on here get, but I guess we are still newbies so hopefully in time............

Keep at it; it does take time for people to rely on the fact that you will come back when you say you will and also they will 'test' you as to your customer service. It's also a great help if your OH is supportive i.e. innumerable times we've been out having a sociable drink and my OH has spotted someone across the other side of the bar and asked them if they're interested in Avon :o Bless him - more often than not they say 'Yes' so getting your man on board can be your greatest asset! :T

I was just wondering if someone can give me some advice.
I have offered an incentive of a free gift when you spend over £20 in the brochure, in one order and wondered if I could use the internet offers as free gifts aswell as gifts from in the clearance part of Hellow Tommorrow?
    Thanks xxxx

Totally up to you what free gifts and/or incentives you offer to your customers. Just watch out for the clearance goods prices as sometimes they can be more than ordering it from the catalogue i.e. when you take your commission into account. Equally that applies to the online offers; sometimes the 'online rep offers' are more than the nett catalogue prices.

I've just received an email from Avon saying that I have £11.25 to pay on my account and should pay it asap to avoid my order being delayed. I paid £155 last night which was my invoice amount less the amount of credits I've put through (£11.25). Do you think this email has just crossed with my payment or should I give them a ring to double check? My order's not due to be submitted until tomorrow evening but don't want to risk it being held!!

Don't worry if you're confident about your own figures; reply to the email, confirming that the balance outstanding is covered by returns. It's happened to me and so far I've always had a confirmatory email that everything was OK.

Doubt it. Don't have much faith in my courier. Sure they get things quicker but hold on to them. Anyone haveing problems with contact us to email. Being try to email about charge for non returned products for 2 days now and when i press the button to send it says website not available refresh page which takes me back to page minus what I have written.
Now I am associate PC can I use the presidents club helpline so that I don't get India!!!

Of course you can use the PC helpline; they're great. Just quote them the ref. no. of your returns note and they'll credit you back with the relevant amount.

In my experience ringing the courier has always been 'useful' too if not particularly accurate (last week they told me to expect my extra order approx 9 am but he was here at 7.50 a.m. when I was still in bed! )

Am beginning to wonder about the recharges for non-returned products; have had an error in my last three orders......

And, yes, also had a problem emailing Avon via 'contact us' - as above, just ring the PC helpline and they'll sort everything for you.

Hi CF, sorry can't help re. the business section to register under but are you sure you actually need to register? I spoke to HMIR recently and was told that until earnings approached £2,500 p.a. then there was no need to register with them. Of course, all depends if you have other benefits/income etc. but if Avon is all you're doing then seems to me that there's no need for you rush in.....

For free gifts, I don't buy from the clearance section, what i do is I look through the catalogue, they always have a couple of 99p deals (shower gel, sometimes the room and linen sprays) and i get a few of those.

  • ARGH. Really annoyed tonight. One of my customers sent me a text earlier saying he's had his dole money stopped so will have to cancel most of his order. £43 order and he can oly pay me for 2 items totalling £11.

I know it's not his fault but it made me cross. Just means faffing about with returns etc.

    Hia

First thing I did was contact HMIR and told them that i was self employed Avon. I have got a course Tuesday free of charge by HMIR on being self employed.

For me it means that my business all above board and i still get WFTC as i have two boys. I am just using my own name as a sole trader for now. Dont think that Avon let you use 'Avon' in your business name.

Otherwise it would have to be 'Avon by Lucy *******' or perhaps 'Avon with Lucy *******)

We will see what the HMIR man says next week. But by registering as self employed. You get to offset all of your 'business' expenses against your profits. I had a bumper C7 so I now have a bumper new wifi printer:j for my 'avon' business. Dont forget your fuel, car servicing, business clothes, electricity, business cards, advertising etc.

Soon enough you will make nothing on paper, and pay no tax anyway. (great for the tax man, not so great if you want a loan or a mortgage)

It does mean keeping all manner of receipts and being a little bit organised but long term, if you intend to succeed, you will have to register anyway.:):):):):):):):):)
:T wealth is a state of mind :T
