Just been out to collect some more books. I only got one order for £3.50. But at least so far C7 = 569.35 and to cheer myself up, reminded myself have party on 30/3 and last day of c7 ordering is 31/3!!!

Really hoping this party does well. £250 Sales will take me up to £800 sales.

I ordered some of the clearance items from HT: lipstick sample 10p, shampoo sample 35p, shower gel 50p, hair treatment 75p. I am planning on running a tiered promotion in C8. Order over £5 get the lipstick, over £10 get the shampoo, over £15 get the shower gel and over £20 to get the hair treatment. Hopefully that way everyone will have an incentive to place an item or 2 extra on their order to get the next deal up.

Hi Catty and everyone else!

I do a little note every month and pop one in with every book that I deliver in the hope of building up a relationship with the customers but also to point out good offers in the books. I know that not everyone is on the same book as me so I'm not sure if it is of use to post up my little note every 3 weeks.

This is the one I have written up for Camp 7 which I have just started.

thanks everyone for all the help on the notes, and i love the idea of a sort of mini newsletter with all the offers in it!

Ive been looking through the HT mag and it says that clearance offers can only be ordered with cat 6, as im on cat 7 does that mean my time has ran out for ordering these??

Yes, unfortunately it does. The clearance offers from HT can't be back-ordered, unlike things from the normal brochures (inc. the sales brochures).

I have back ordered clearance items from HT. Just use the drop down box in placing an order like you would anyway.

Ive not had a problem doing this.

Me too, even ones cheaper in the previous HT.


Is anyone else a bit miffed to see the neutral tones 8in1 in HT when you still have customers waiting?

Yes, I assume they printed the HT before they knew they were going to have supply issues with the eye pallette. One of my customers ordered one before they were on last chance and had no problems.

I've been quite lucky - been totally honest with my customers about the timescales they might have to wait, and they have all said they are happy to wait.

Yeah I had to buy some of the neutral tones eyeshadow palettes, and pearl shines, from ebay so that customer don't mind waiting - they had to wait one campaign which I thought was ok, but not a further one when I have no idea when/if they'll be back in stock. When the ones I've ordered eventually turn up I'll probably stick them on ebay to make the money back, or return them if they're still selling too cheaply, didn't loose much on buying them from ebay especially with going through a cashback site I got a bit of money back that way.
