Well went to collect from my 'street by mistake' last night and only got one order (for £30 - yay) so that made me feel less guilty! Do you think when I deliver her order I should explain that I was not meant to be doing her street, or should I give her a brochure and not the other houses and treat her as a F&F now?

Yeah I'd just keep that lady on as f&f for the moment - when the new asm is up and running I'll ask for some more territory and you might end up with that street anyway!

Thanks guys hoping his grandad will be ok else his gran will be in pieces especially with them loosing their eldest son only 5 months ago. Will tell him to stop being an awkward !!!!!! and pull himself together!

lol was supposed to go and see a rep today to do her T3 training. she ALWAYS changes days/forgets/changes her mind at the last minute etc. I told her she didnt HAVE to see me for it but she said yes and so it was arranged a few weeks ago for today. I also wanted to go through some territory changes, help with delivery and go through payment options as her internet is down for a while...

So text her to remind her at the weekend...no reply, she text back on monday saying she had forgotten but was it at 6.30? I text back straight away saying yes see you then, she replied see you then...got there today (in the rain) and she wasnt there. noone was! text to say i had been but if she wanted to pop round when shes back thats fine etc. still nothing.

ITS JUST RUDE! and it was for her benefit! so when she DOES want to know something ill have to take time out to explain it to her and help her when she couldnt be bothered to remember to be at home!

I mean do people really think i have the time or energy to get messed around all the time? My OH has this week off so ive devoted half of it to avon and the other half to him, if it had been any other day i would have had to get a babysitter to watch my son for an hour or so!

Sorry for ranting but it annoys me when you put effort in and change your day for someone when they dont bother writing it down.

like monday i was out in the rain prospecting from 12 till 4, then round to a sign up at 4 (and the lady was nearly an hour late!!!) and THEN delivering all on foot because i didnt want to be seen as unreliable and a let down! I was shattered but i did it! I didnt get home till 7ish but...just...arrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhh. These people really put you off sometimes!

Nothing major for me.. but still feeling avoned out after delivery last week.. so stressed out over slightest things at min....

the returned night cream saga (£13 return)

then just today:

my book prep taking WAY too long...

Running out of sealable bags on last few books for my regulars

call off customer saying 2 bras need returning (£16.50) cant even try offer her replacements as we dont do size big enough! so lost sales/commission

call off another new customer now to say her perfume has leaked everywhere, can she have a replacement...

been out for past 3 hours delivering books in the dark and rain and i generally feel like crying!!

also suspect campaign will be poo as lots of customers go away over easter.. and book 7 has nothing that great in it!!


Rant over..... feel a bit better now. lol

After a promising first campaign (over £300 orders) this campaign is turning out a bit pants but kids are going to grandmas next week for first week of easter hols so I am going to try and get as many drops and pick ups done then. I think the campaigns are a bit close together for a lot of my customers which may have something to do with it.

I had a good day at work, my Manager was surprised at how many files I cleared! :j My colleague told him he should give me some other work to do, otherwise I will get bored and leave....lol. Told him he doesn't need to worry about that, I am not 21 years old, I have worked in business before and know what I am doing.

As for Avon.... not got half my orders out, not got my book 7s out....

Found out today Rep I thought was going home for 3/4 months is coming back in a month and her sister is going to collect orders for while she is away.

Just feel so rushed now. need to find a good balance to get on top of my avon, work and home life.

I'm recanvassing a couple of my old roads tomorrow so fingers crossed for one or two new customers when I collect on friday.

Probably rather obvious but I was recalling a couple of years ago when a friend from a neighbouring town started ordering from me. She already had an avon lady who made the mistake of saying something along the lines of 'can't you shut those dogs up, I've got a headache'. Thats the last order she took from my friend. I have dogs on my round from the miniature poodle who bounces up and down trying to take my hand off, to the spaniel who rushes downstairs and hits the door running whilst snarling through the glass like a rottweiler to the gawd knows what it is - it's almost as tall as me, built like a brick outhouse, stinks but is fortunately friendly (if it doesn't knock you over!). Do try to remember that pets are often like substitute/additional children and no matter what noise/hairs/smells/saliva comes from it, you need to address it sweetly and keep smiling. Same goes for children - minus the hairs :eek:
My next delivery is a couple of days after Easter and moving on from the teabag idea, I'm toying with a hot choc sachet and perhaps a treat sized twix (tescos are doing for £1 bag) in a little push top seal bag (cant remember their name) rather than a little egg. I am not advertising it with the brochures but just for those who have placed an order as a goodwill gesture sort of thing.
Will have a little think on that.

Lozza - hope your OH's grandad is on the mend soon.
