Hi everyone, just a quick query.... I forgot to order a little pressie for my lady who's placed a £60 order so was thinking that I might do her a voucher to be used in the next campaign. However, wasn't sure whether offering a specific amount i.e. £5 or a percentage would be better?

Hi YM - I've just done the template for a voucher which fits nicely inside a cheap notecard to make it look a bit special, although you could use it on its own. If you'd like a copy of it, then just PM me your email addy (also applies to anyone else who wants it ;))

MC - pictures are brilliant. You obviously have an artistic flair! Hope the part goes well

I think it depends what you described the gift as? If you gave her a £5 voucher she could spend just £5 if she wanted. But if you gave her a % off then she will have to place an order an spend money. I think what I'm trying to say is that if I was told I'd get a 'free' gift, I'd be a bit irked if I had to spend even more money to benefit from it. Does that come across ok?

I hadn't actually mentioned to her or anyone that she would get a free gift, just thought it would be a nice surprise as a little thank you. I was trying to work out what would look the best but also be the best way to do from my perspective? I think that makes sense lol!!

Ah right! A % off voucher would be better for you if she places a smaller order, but a £5 would be better if she places a larger one. She'd have to spend £25 for you to get the £5 back and break even. So say she spent £50, with a £5 voucher you'd make at least £9, with a 10% (eg) off voucher you'd make at least £8.

dont forget that a £5 voucher... will only actually cost you £3.75 (if you make HOV) £4 if you only make MOV. Not the full £5.......But you wont make any commission on that bit of her order! :)

Also remember 10% off would mean if she orders a fixed discount item youd lose out on more than just 10% of your commission.

I.e. the hello kitty pjs are £10 in the book but you only get £1.70 commission on them.. so if you give her 10% off thats £1 , so you only get 70p commission! AND Of course with a £5 voucher youd be making a loss!

So you never know... both vouchers carry a risk.

Maybe its best to just order her something small next time and tell her you were delayed getting it to her as it was SO popular avon had sold out by time your order was delivered this time ;)

(Ooh OR you COULD be a bit cheeky and just give her a bag with some samples in if youve got any and a "£5 off when you next spend £25 or more" voucher.. that way shes encouraged to spend a big order again... but is getting a discount so is happy,... and you know you'll still make some commission on it... but make sure you state that any BRANDED items are not included in the offer otherwise you may be stung by the fixed discount problem again...)

    hope that makes sense!

Oooooh, got my biggest order delivery yet to do tonight, not counted them or I'll start panicking but I reckon I've got 20 orders to deliver.

The skies are looking a bit black, looks like rain ........ !!

And I haven't even cleaned the windows / car to tempt it on its way!

On another note, one of my (fabulous, amazing, etc etc) colleagues at work has got me a £80 order for this time!! MOV done!

Aw. I need a holiday - its year end at work and nobody in sales is allowed to take annual leave until April. Only another week of this madness!!

    Congrats Lozza on your anniversary!

And not sure if I said well done to Aureol on such a great first day at work - well, this working life obviously suits you, wish I could say the same for me!!!!!!

    Afternoon ladies,

I'm still lurking! :D.... as I'm not starting until the next campaign as I'm going away on holiday but have been reading the posts and I'm hovering between panic and yeah I can do this!

There are lots of good tips coming through which is great, I'm keeping a note of most of them. I have also handed out some brochures my SL left me to friends and family so they can get a taster of what lovely products Avon have available to them :p so i'm ready to hit the ground running when I get back.

Sorry to hear your OH grandad is in hospital lozza thats not good, I hope he gets better soon. Congratulations on your anniversary this week though :)
