Best bet is to check through your invoice and work out the cost (from avon not the customer price) from there xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

So i add up the "my cost" for her items is it? I think i'm a bit too thick to be doing this :rotfl:0
-
Don't be daft! Yes just add up the amounts on your invoice for each item, at "my cost", as that will be the amount avon will refund you for. As a rough guide, assuming you hit HOV on your order, then just take 25% off your customers order and that will be the amount will refund you for.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

So i'm ultimately paying 25% of her order? Or am i still being thick? :P lol i'm off to work now but i'll try and check when i'm on break
Thanks for all the advice

Realise how thick that actually is. Ignore that. I'm so gutted she wouldn't answer her door to me.. lost me £50 commission0 -
Take the 25% off the order - the remaining 75% will be what avon will refund you for, the 25% difference would have been your earnings xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Does anyone elses invoices NOT add up? On my first page with my campaign order, in the colum (sp) for what i pay doesnt add up to what it says at the bottom!C7 - 221.05 :j C8 - 308.07 :j C9 - 250.84 :j C10 - £525.25 :j:j C11 - £467.91 :j C12 - 491.44 :j C13 - £442.09 :j C14 - £357.95 :j0

Instead of going through your invoice you can click on the "my account" and then "account balance" .... near the top under the heading it will say how much credit you have requested but hasnt gone off you balance yet....
as i havent submitted any credits mine says this:Current balance : £630.29 Pending product credits : £0.00
But if say id submitted credit for a £10 order it would say £7.50 as pending product credit (assuming id made HOV) insted of £0.00
so when i came to pay my bill id just subtract the pending credits amount off my current balance and pay whatever that is.So using above example id only pay £622.79 to clear my balance.
Hope thats clear and helps!0 -
i didnt door knock at all and still dont.... i was too nervous PLUS only able to go out in the day with having my daughter with me and virtually everyone around here is out in the day....
when coveirng new territory or recanvassing I put a book through with one my notes explaining who i am, how long ive been a rep and when i'll be back etc and 3 tick boxes saying " im placing an order" "im not ordering this time but may do in the future" "im not interested in receiving future brochures/i already have a rep" ...if they dont leave book out i knock then to collect it or speak to them... if i dont get an answer i put a calling card through asking them to leave it out next day... if they still dont leave it out i knock again... still dont answer i leave another calling card asking them to call me if they still want to order or have any questions or queries about anything. IF they answer the door at any point i always ask would they like me to leave them books again or not. if they just leave it out without ticking a box.. i continue to leave books until they tick the not interested box!0 -
Any Avon Lady who just shoves a book through my door will not get an order, no matter how nice her little notes are.
Its all well and good having hints and tips to pass around however you also need customer feedback.
I would buy £25 every time from the lady who can be bothered to say "Hello, my name is **** and I am your Avon Lady. I will try to answer as many of your queries and questions as I can" etc. What is so hard about that?
A book through the door says to me, "She can't be bothered with who's ordering. She just wants the order. Money minded doesn't give the best service"
Thanks for your input; really good to get another perspective on it. Glad to see we're like-minded (maybe we're in the same age group i.e. 21+!)
It IS unnerving when you first canvass a new area but when you find that one person, who's delighted to have a new Avon lady, then it does spur you on. May sound really stupid but I do have one lady, who doesn't order often, but she makes me feel like a 'proper Avon lady' as she invites me in for my advice whenever she is looking for something particular. More often than not I admit that my product knowledge is somewhat lacking (Avon products change soooooo quickly) so I tend to fall back on the 'Hmmm.... not sure; but let's order it so you can try it and if you don't like it then we'll send it back'. More often than not my 'special lady' will trot upstairs for a mirror, try the product and ask my opinion. I LOVE IT! (Makes me feel like a 'grown up'! :rotfl: )Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
