If its of any help to anyone I've worked out the spacing for labels in the 63.5mm x 38.1mm (21 to an A4 page - I use Staples own brand) format as a word document . Yes, I know that you can use the 'labels' facility on the PC, but this worked better for me.

I put 'The last date you can order from this book is *******, then underneath in smaller font 'deliveries on ***** and ********'. I don't have any customers on back order books, but you may want to leave that bit out if you do.

Just PM me with your email addy if you'd like the document.

I ordered some labels already printed up from a company called Winksters. £2.70 for 210. They have my details and a 'Free Gift With Every Offer Over £20' on it! They came within 2 days too!

  • Hiya all :)
I was meant to be meeting with my ASM tonight, but as I have only had two orders, I thought I would text to find out if she still needed to come! Have re-arranged meeting for next week, and am going to start popping books through doors this weekend (I also live on a new built estate so hoping I get some customers!). So far, my orders only come to £11 lol Hopefully, I will gain some more customers!
Thanks everyone for your hints and tips to - They are more than helpful to us newbies! xx

Only regular f+F i have is my mum. But i do have boyfriends mum, sis and neighbour and 4 ladies at the local newsagent as F+F who get a book every camp too but they only order every so often.

I have a MASSIVE territory though, 14 roads in total now i think it is. Ive got 105 "customers" who get the new book every campaign (customers are people who have placed an order at some point with me even if not for few months or whatever) and then i recanvass as much as i can each campaign. Last campaign was my best camp EVER with sales of £980 and 52 orders. Sales are lower this camp but ive got 54 orders which is most ive ever had. (dreading delivery day! lol)

I do this as my main job though now so spend 16-20 hours a week and it works out i get about £5 an hour roughly (if im lucky)! Which doesnt sound much but im a single mum to a 22 month old and it means i can take my daughter with me or do stuff when shes in bed most of the time... so it works out great! :)

Thanks for sharing your story. Gives hope to those of us following along behind you. I have 3 kids (4,3 and 1) and given that the youngest spends far too much time in the pushchair already on school and playschool runs I am trying to limit the amount he spends there for Avon stuff which means I don't necessarily do things the most efficient way (eg just 20 brochures at time). However he will do a couple of sessions a week at playschool in Sept so I hope to be able to longer runs of canvassing then. Maybe then I can follow in your footsteps and aim for PC in 2010.

  • I collected in the the last of my books (managed to get them all back woohoo!) and to my complete surprise there was an order for £59.50!!!! That brings my total orders up to £180 so far and I still have a week until my order goes in! I'm so surprised as I had a really good campaign last time so was expecting this one to be less. Got another potential 3 orders pretty much guaranteed as well as 15 books still out to collect on Saturday. At this rate I may even get more orders than last time!!

Still not heard back form ASM about some more territory though, was kind of hoping she'd get back to me today with another road so I could put some of my back campaign books out before I order next week but this is looking less and less likely now! I'm going to call her on Monday if she hasn't got back to me before then.

Thanks johanne - think that has inspired us all! I always wonder if people with high sales are in the same boat as me (5 or 6 f&f who don't order regularly and then just territory). You have proved that success really is possible with hard work and perseverence.

And a good pair of trainers! LOL.. Seriously i walk that much i need new trainers every month or two. :rotfl:

I feel guilty for the amount of time LO is in her buggy for doing avon too.. so we only do a couple of hours in a week, rest of the time she goes to my mums for an afternoon which she loves or spends time with her dad. Luckily about half my week is spent prepping books, doing paperwork/accounts and entering orders etc which i can do when she goes to bed or is running round in the living room (if i work from dining table)

She does love doing the odd hour though.... as she gets excited when we knock on doors shouts "mummy knock on the door its AVON!" :o hahaha, she sometimes gets "pennies" for her jar off customers and chats away with any other kids we encounter too and at christmas even got a present off one my customers. :)

Anyway, just submitted C6. Totalled £757 in the end thanks to some last minute orders. Would have been more but sold about £50 worth of my stock :D

Collecting first of my C7 books tomorrow... new territory and im really nervous! Hate the first few times collecting on new territory.. new faces and not knowing who is gonna answer the door when you knock and how nice/nasty they are gonna be!! oh and not knowing where the dogs are! Almost lost my hand the other day.. and think ive lost my book on a new house when a dog ripped it out my hand as i put it through!! Starting to realise why takeaway people are tucking their menus under the letter box flaps round here recently and not pushing them through! eeK!

Sorry ladies, won't be able to put up a post with Sales Leaders and areas we cover. As you can see the original post has got deleted, as I thought it might, as we are not supposed to disclose personal details or exchange personal details.

Never mind, if anyone is looking to join Avon, just let us know.

Well I know I complain about my ASM, but she has just been the nicest tonight. She phoned me twice, once on my normal mobile, to which she has the number, and my Avon mobile. And she had read my emails to her and had suggestions on how to go forward with my team and building it, etc.

I know it is to her benefit, to have a team of SL's and for them to have teams that are performing to targets, but she really, really helped me out tonight.

    So Thank You ASM!
  • Can i ask about the little sale booklets that some of you were talking about over on the other thread!

Just looking at my C8 brochure and there is a 'Sale' section in the back. Would this be it. I am in a trendsetter area so guessed the brochures make differ?

    Thanks in advance
