Hello guys, just started Avon a week ago and had a very good first campaign I think. Have found your advice on here invaluable, so thank you :) Ooooh, and just had an email saying I'm a smart start level 2 acheiver so get a freebie..... nice surprise :)

Providing the order is for MOV then you will get discount - it's not your fault they are OOS. Same for returns.

I have done my 1st additional order today (sent main order last night). Thought I would still get commission? Web says no & the delivery charge to pay although I knew about that.

Will have to duplicate the order with my next main order then do returns based on my non-commission extra order. What a pain and extra work for Avon - unless anyone has any better ideas?

If I can just add that returning goods and taking you under HOV will affect what samples/gifts you get under the SmartStart scheme. Happened to one of my reps recently; they queried why they'd only got the samples for achieving MOV when their order had hit HOV. Explanation was due to their returns.

Sorry, can't help with an alternative to your suggestion re. your additional order. Of course, if you've back ordered anything in your additional order you'll find you may not be able to re-order it (certainly under exactly the same offer) in your next campaign.

Yeah I split my territory having some on the new, some on the previous book- saves you a lot of money buying brochures. Just keep a note of which streets get which book so you don't get confused. I have 2 calling books for this to keep it simpler for myself.

I also split my customers: Given Territory get the current book, F&F get the back book. Anyone, who orders, gets their next book with their order and then the non-orderers get the book afterwards i.e. when I've collected it back in. That way in theory I only need to order a quarter of the books in relation to customers but I tend to order a third because I never get them all back.

Can I ask a daft question, can you do more than one order a month per campaign and do they deliver more than the one day a month sorry being thick but didnt know if you can have more deliveries?

No such thing as a daft question on here!

(Am still trying to catch up on what I've missed so apologies if this has already been answered....)

You can place one Regular order free every campaign, which will always arrive on the same day and approx the same time once the pattern is set by your first order. You can put in as many additional orders as you wish but you will be charged £2.50 by Avon and for each order you need to achieve MOV (£78) or HOV (£148) again on each and every order before you earn any discount. Additional orders take 5-7 days to come so will obviously depend on when you place your order.

I am in the process of inputting all of my orders on the site and happened to notice that although the summary order section (last tab) is showing the "Eyeshadow Palette Tempting Twilight" which is the one that has been ordered, when I go to the Subtotal page it is showing the "Eyeshadow Palette Pastel Passion!!! It has even changed the code from 18424 to 04572. I have definitely input it correctly, and it is the only one I have ordered. I have even deleted it and tried again but the same thing is happening. Which one do you think I am going to get sent?

When that happens to me I tend to order both colours so I know I'm covered and send back the one I don't want. You may have a memo about it when you log in or sometimes Avon mention any item no. discrepancies in the notes included with our invoices. Just checked my latest invoice and there's no mention of it there.

i wouldnt order from the early brochures as you wont get them till c16 order comes!! you will get HT16 in C14 so id order then instead what you can cos you'll get them earlier!! ;)

i bloody hope the towels are not OOS for me!! i have a lady ordered 4 sets and is reeling from not getting her tool kits in c9! :( Will have to check my invoice online tomorrow..

BUT on a reeeeeeally positve note... the top 1000 list has just been posted on presidents club forum and ive made it for first time ever :D:D:D:D:D im 732nd in the country!!!!!:j:j:j:j

Thats ONE my aims for the year completed, as wanted to make that list at least once... now to complete my other aim of silver! only £8k and 18 weeks to go! :rotfl::rotfl:

If the towels are the same ones I ordered from HT then you may be doing your customer a favour by not selling them to her - it's a tiny guest towel and flannel (not very thick either). Would've sent mine back if my hubby hadn't got to it first and wiped his face after cutting himself shaving! (You can tell am a sympathetic soul - not! :rotfl:) Didn't notice the stain so it's now set and the towel is consigned to the rag box.

Congrats on your PC listing; :T you must be really chuffed.

I have found out where another local rep lives (just round the corner from me). Was thinking of popping round to introduce myself and discuss territories (to make sure we don't overlap), do you think this is a good idea?

Well done, SG; see you're enjoying Avon.

Personally, think it's an excellent idea to pop round and introduce yourself to your neighour. I try and get to know as many as possible so we can help each other out if needs be but I sometimes get the impression from our upliners that they want us to be more competitive rather than convivial. ;)

How you 'do Avon' is totally up to you (within Avon guidelines, of course).

Hi all, a little question you may be able to help me with, I missed the driver today and although I got my order I didnt get to give him my returns, will I have to send the via post now ? Thanks in advance.

No, just make sure you give them to the delivery driver when he drops your next order otherwise you may be recharged with everything. Equally, of course, if anyone orders anything in your next campaign and you've already got it in your returns then you can sell that one instead (particularly if it's cheaper than in your current catalogue) and Avon will just recharge it to you at the original price when your returns are finally received.

    Hello ladies
Im a newbie thanks to the help of aureol for putting me in touch with my SL, so anyways ive done quite well with F&F (£100 so far) but ive picked up my 1st lot of books from territory today and ended up with 1 order for £8 so im feeling a bit deflated after a good start, just wondered roughly how many custs I should expect in my 1st campaign???? I dropped about 20 books and from that got 1 order, does that sound normal for the 1st time? I did stuff and run, I dont feel confident enough yet to knock but the people I have spoke to have been nice enough and just said they were not interested in having any more books!!!!!!! Ive now dropped another 30 odd books so im hoping things pick up

    Hi Gempink,

Don't despair, you can always just stick to F&F if your territory turns out to be sooo poor (or we'll see about getting you some different territory if you like). Or I could pop back down for that mini-tour I missed and give you some moral support. Good tip re. 'knocking and asking' is to have a big smile and find something to compliment when they answer the door. Everyone loves a compliment and once they get over a stranger at the door chatting to them, you just apologise for disturbing them but tell them you're a new rep (and a bit nervous, if you like) but wonder how long it is since they've seen an Avon book and would they like to have a little look at it for a few days, emphasising that you will DEFINITELY come back and pick it up on .............day so they won't be left with any 'rubbish' that they don't want. Slip in a comment about how they may be pleasantly surprised at how Avon has developed and there are always some special offers at 99p and, of course, they can 'look for nothing'.

Just really whatever comes into your head. I've even had initial No's and then I've said 'Oh, go on.... please.... honestly, you'll be really surprised at the offers.... and if you start now you can spread the cost of Christmas coming up..... ;)'

You WILL succeed at Avon; trust me, you like the products far too much NOT to! :rotfl:

    Regards,

    MC
