Can someone just confirm that sss original is the same as soft and fresh? C11 2 for £4 has original, every other book soft and fresh.

Yes, soft/fresh and original (both item no 6700) are the same dry oil spray (with insect repellant properties) although for anyone with a really dry skin then the bath oil (item no. 10405) may be preferable.

Empathise with you, aureol, and I've also had a similar sort of reaction but more of.... "I'll look at a book but don't expect me to order every campaign". My reaction always tends to be 'You can look for nothing; am passing your door anyway' and 'I much prefer you to try something and send it back rather than not try at all'. Both tactics tend to work but it surprised me recently that some customers that actually searched me out (they were out when I first canvassed) didn't realise there was a full-money back guarantee. Yes, realise it's hassle for us but it really does encourage people to order things if they're sure they can send it back for a full refund. (Unlike a local rep to me, who I was told took back some items and it was 2-3 months before the customer got their money back! )

Talking of which, makes me wonder if people are actually put off Avon because of some of the newbies, who try but give up at the first hurdle? Two of my 'team' have actually been 'bad debts' (despite my best efforts) and, obviously, whatever orders they had next have never been delivered..... Wouldn't inspire me if I was a new customer....:(

I'm having a problem with a new street they had a rep a while back who came and took orders then never when back! Upto now i only have 4 orders off that street and quite alot who said they didnt want it again. I'm hoping by seeing me back time and time again will build up my reputation and get more customers. At the moment my orders are upto £430 for my second campaing so not doing too badly. Think i may try some offers like recommend a friend to build me customer database up.

My "immediate" replacements have finally turned up today!

So for anybody with items missing from your order (thats missing and charged for not OOS), bear in mind that when they say "7-10 days" that's WORKING days not actual days, and Saturday does not count as a working day. Mine was 10 working days (2 weeks). Grr.

Still think Avon were fibbing when they said they were "posted via royal mail" 2 weeks ago. Even Royal Mail aren't that bad. And while we're on the subject, Royal Mail deliver on a Saturday so why doesn't the 10 days include Saturdays??

Order has gone in today, had another £20 order last night so final total is £466!!

Please Avon - let my order not have any missing items this time as this time has sent me into a right confused mess (doesn't take much admittedly). OOS I can cope with, disappeared into thin air I can't.

Yay great that they finally turned up! :)

I have to admit, if I've had "missing" bits or "to follow", depending on the customer I do sometimes get them off ebay/someone from flissys just to make life easier. We shouldn't have to though!!!

Yes Claregre, when Avon say anything they always mean working days, ie Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. They can't include Saturdays as there is no guarantee that Royal Mail will deliver on a Saturday. I think the reason it takes so long is the items have to be selected at the warehouse, then packed up as appropriate with the paperwork and then posted out, presumably second class. And if they say 7-10 working days, they are allowing for all eventualities, ie not finding the stock, Royal Mail sitting on post, etc.

HATS OFF TO YOU SALES LEADERS....

Text the rep who i agreed to help to say i was on my way as agreed...so she says she is at the sunbeds with her mum but could walk back if neccessary, so i say "its ok i'll come in about 20 mins ok?" thats at 4:55pm.. so she says "yeah no worries"..... then get a message 10 mins later "actually make it after 6pm im gonna get my eyelashes done! haha hope its not a problem!".....:mad::mad:

Oh my god!! I dont know how you ladies cope... i dont have the patience!! Im going out the way to help this girl after she stabbed me in the back basically by becoming a rep herself and taking some my customers with her.... and now shes expecting me to sit about and wait for an hour while she decides what beauty treatments she fancies!! Urgh!!!! Good job my LO is at her dads tonight isnt it?!!

Sorry.... just the FOURTH time this week someone has made appointment with me (for various things - this is first avon related) and then changed it at the last minute.. " but you dont mind do you?" YES I BLOOMIN DO!!! Everyone seems to think i have all the time in the world and can accomadate them cos i OBVIOUSLY have nothing better to do!:mad::mad:

I really couldnt hack it as a SL...... its MY business and i wanna do things on MY terms... have enough problems chasing customers who think i have all the time in the world... couldnt cope with a team of reps who think the same...

Will be going round now and trying to help sort her account balance so she can do C11 herself i think..!!!

Yes Johanne....sometimes it is very frustrating.....we have to deal with area managers who can be very rubbish at times....and people standing us up / going to debt / generally going awol as they aren't adult enough to just say sorry I don't want to do avon anymore! Had a lady decide she wanted to stop, fine, had to chase her to find out why she hadn't ordered though before she told me!!!!....then she texts a few days later asking for the local rep as she wanted to order....said I could place her order, or that she could even just order her own stuff, she doesn't need to order brochures as avon will send one at 55p which is returnable so then she could still order from HT & online offers....not even had a reply! I'm only trying to help her!!!! Gaaahhh!

But - thankfully I have some lovely ladies who make it all worthwhile :D I've always wondered if they bother reading my campaignly emails...but I sent one this week suggesting they could make their own facebook group to promote themselves...and within a few hours one of my new-ish reps had already created one! So at least one person reads it lol ;)

Hope you manage to get things sorted one way or the other with this lady. If it were me, I'd say o sorry I can't because of x, and see how she likes being messed about! But thats just me :p

Well thought I'd share an amusing story from when I was delivering orders last night.....

A lady had ordered the antler bag, she said o its for my daughter, shes looking for a hospital bag for when she goes into hospital to have her baby. I asked when baby was due, October.....asked if it was first grandkid...yes.....she says o my daughter only looks about 14, but shes 21. You're probably about the same age as her....I said yes I suppose I'm 25 on the 12th June but when my hairs straight I always get ID as I don't look my age (mostly as I'm short lol)....so she starts going on and on about how we should have kids...I said nah we want to wait a few years yet...she says nah you should have one....so of course I open my mouth and say no we want to be married before we have kids....

luckily my brain kicked in lol as I thought, hang on, if hers daughters 21 theres a big chance she's not married, and possibly not with the father.....so thankfully I managed to quickly add on the end...plus we want to get the kitchen done and other jobs first pmsl.

And yet she still finished the conversation with saying we ought to have kids sooner rather than later so obviously haven't offended her lol :p
