Hi everyone,
Poor Lozza, sorry to hear you're feeling roughtake it easy if its your day off and give your body chance to fight the bugs a bit.
I'm still undecided whether to put F&F onto a different campaign than territory or is it easier to have them all on the same one?
No unfortunately been at work today...then off out again in a bit for hospital duties (its his grandads birthday today).
I keep my f&f and my territory on the new brochures, and oh territory gets the old brochures....and whenever recanvassing I always use the old brochures regardless of which territory it is so that it doesn't matter if I don't get them back...once you've done a campaign or two it'll be much less confusing, there is just so much to take in at the very beginning.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
good on you clare
make sure you go armed witha couple of demo products
Thanks Lolly - don't think I've actually got any demo products so thought I'd take a few bits which I use and bits which we use at home like the fab room sprays which are 99p in C7!! I'm only round the corner from her so if there is anything which I forget which she wants to try I can always just nip home and get them.0 -
Does anyone have any advice for the new girl for campaign 8?
It seems that quite a few ladies on my territory have ordered make-up from campaign 7 (order due in tomorrow) as its half price, a few have ordered fragrances so I assume they've had Avon before and know what they smell like...
So I've just had a cup of tea and looked at campaign 8 and it appears to be focused on the Anew range and fragrances so what angle do you go for with your sales strategy baring in mind customers may not have tried them? Do you put a note in with the brochure pushing certain promotions or do I order samples with my order tomorrow to let them have a try first? Thanks in advance for your help.
While it's nice to give your customers samples - I find they don't tend to get people to buy the product, I tend to use them to encourage people to spend x amount - spend £10 and get a goodie bag of samples for example, that way people are spending more, so covers the cost of the samples and then if they go on to purchase any of the full sized items its a bonus.
I'd maybe try and promote footworks/jewellery/suncream (particularly if the sun stays out!) - to get people to start getting ready to wear their sandals and get their skirts on lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
i have so much avon stuff i use lol its all over the house.
but as i have been doing parties i have been ordering alot of demo products too stuff i wouldnt normally order for myself...at least it goes against my expenses0 -
Thanks for the suggestions ladies, I knew you'd point me in the right direction! I'm sure a few campaigns in I'll get my head around it all and get an idea of what my customers like / spend etc.
Lozza, I hope OH grandad is feeling better and enjoys his birthday visit, sorry to hear your still feeling rough though.
Brunette moment sorry.... so after placing this order put territory on 8 and F&F on 9?? (I'm easily confused but just want to start on the right foot so to speak to make the most out of creative selling).0 -
Just got back from work and thought I'd catch up with you all. There are some really inspiring posts today. Johanne you are an inspiration. I have just started C8 and am plucking up courage to canvass the streets I didn't get round last time, but I find it really hard, so to read that you were a shy little mouse two years ago helps motivate me. Last time round I nearly gave up and went home cos I find it so nerve wracking (I know I am pathetic!).
Oh, by the way anyone expecting the free nailvarnishes with C7, don't get too excited, when you see the colour you'll understand why they are discontinued. Keep going everyone.0 -
When you do your parties, do you get the host to collect all the money and then drop the orders off to her and just consider them all nice bonus one off orders? Or do you deliver individually to each person with a view to developing them as long term customers?
But they are not just one off bonus orders, they are customers on my territory, which is being developed very nicely. Previous avon reps have never stayed longer than 3 camps, never gave out samples, never did parties never offered demos.
It is a very large street in a very small village, they all know each other and lots of same faces, but some new ones too.
As I said, got another party booking out of it and pre sold 4 x antler bags from C9. Cant be bad.
I have customers in my village who are now enquiring about parties. I know i do give a cut of comission, but lets be fair. Some reps dont even get £300 on a campaign. My customers are really happy, sold a Brightening serum as soon as I walked in last night from a sample given in a party delivery bag last camp. She went on to sell another one for me on her recommendation.
This setting does seem to work well, they talk to each other for a couple of hours, probably great for them to get some time away from their own families and distractions and just be girlie for a bit.
They love being able to try any or all of the samples and demo products I take. Even new stuff, for C9 that they can order next week.
I just see it as easy money, for very little work and customer spend that just gets higher every time. Its doing my rep the world of good. Got new customers from 4 villages away, 3 from my own village turned up.
But each of us work differently, and our customers are different.
This format works for me.:j:j:j:j:j:j:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -

Yep that's rightThen when your canvassing your territory it won't matter so much if you don't get your brochures back x

If theyre gunna send an alternative i may as well just say sold out and let them choose an alternative then when they come just return them, if that makes sense lol
Yes Gillian Dempsey pro concealer is oos and wont be coming back. They will be supplying alternative in may.
I do understand what you mean. Exactly. Frustrating I know, but at least you know:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
Hi
I haven't read through the whole thread yet! I just thought I'd add my voice as a newbie rep, just started today in fact. We've had a couple of reps over the last few years in the area, but I'm hoping they have quit due to other commitments rather than due to lack of sales.
Only time will tellMoving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0
