ok another question for you ladies...have any of you held a pink party for crusade?
If so what did you do..how did it go...was it easy to arrange etc.
I was thinking about doing one...maybe at the school or community centre..with raffle, cake stall, manicures, etc etc.

any imput would be great! thanks

Yup, tell them that it is out of stock. :(
Include it on the orders anyway
You will get the nail varnishes for free.:T
You will eventually get two alternative concealers in c9 or c10 (just return them if you want)
Collect payment from your customers (less £5.00) and suggest the fab new Anew concealer in C8 point out what a favour you have done them really! Along with the beaty bonus on Anew in C8 :):j

My brain stopped working some time ago. Plugged into laptop via usb lead now ;)

I havent received my order yet so cant see what it says about concealer but can see my invoice which says temporarily out of stock, so is it actually sold out? dont want to tell my cumstomers temp out of stock for them have to wait a few campaigns to get something different. If theyre gunna send an alternative i may as well just say sold out and let them choose an alternative then when they come just return them, if that makes sense lol
  • Does anyone know when the smoky eyes eye pallette is due, a customer ordered one in campaign 5, I have put my campaign 7 order on and its still o.o.s xxx

Does anyone have any advice for the new girl for campaign 8? :o

It seems that quite a few ladies on my territory have ordered make-up from campaign 7 (order due in tomorrow) as its half price, a few have ordered fragrances so I assume they've had Avon before and know what they smell like...

So I've just had a cup of tea and looked at campaign 8 and it appears to be focused on the Anew range and fragrances so what angle do you go for with your sales strategy baring in mind customers may not have tried them? Do you put a note in with the brochure pushing certain promotions or do I order samples with my order tomorrow to let them have a try first? Thanks in advance for your help.

    :)

that my lovely is upto you lol. sory not helpful :)
you could do both...get some sticky page tabs highlighting special offers.
order a few perfume samples especially the offer ones ...stick on a piece of card an put it in the brochure on the right page with the sample 'resting' on the top!
again the same with any of the anew products on offer. but i find them more expensive than the perfume :)
order yourself a full size product or 2 to show your customers when you deliver your order :)

    apparently 80% who try ..buy!

Hi inaminute - I just did brochure drops for my first 2 campaigns, and then for my third I did an A5 insert which gave the higlights (nicked from the News section of the Avon website) and offered perfume samples for 15p each (refunded if they purchased the full size bottle within 2 campaigns).

I've mostly done samples only when there is a new launch in the book - eg to my customers for reversalist eye, spotlight, and I'll be doing it for outspoken as well to try and push my moneymaker!! I stick them to a card to make them stand out in the bag with the brochure. Sometimes I put some samples in the bag with a customers order if I've got some appropriate ones.

People will usually just go ahead and buy stuff if it is at their price point - if its what they would be willing to pay, then they will buy it.

You may be interested to know that I sold a grand total of 1 reversalist eye, and 2 bottles of Spotlight to someone who didn't even get a sample!!!! Blimey, I hope outspoken does well - I'll prob offer it at cheaper than the book so they feel special!!!!

What happened to that shy, uncertain, little mouse from a year or two back? :D

LOL!!! Yes - I don't know Johanne personally but even I am proud of her success!! It must be really nice to see someone on here a year or two ago just starting out, and then hear from them a couple of years later doing that brilliantly.

Well, still 4 books to pick up tonight so hopefully will up my sales this time from around £210 so far ...

I've got one lady on my estate who never seems to find the time to order. Last night she said, "you know, if you came round, sat me down, and stayed with me for 15 mins while I wrote the order out I'd order loads, you know". I said that I didn't want to be pushy but if that was what she wanted, I'd gladly do it, and I'd even make her a cup of tea!

    I'm going round tonight!!
