Avon Hints and Tips (Part 4)

Hi all wondering if you could help. I'm trying to return my money maker which really wasn't a money maker for me it's the spotlight perfume, and i'm wondering do I have to return the lipsticks with the perfumes??? I may have just sold the 4 of them to some friends, but they don't want the perfumes, will I just have to put the lippies back with the perfumes?

any help would be greatful

Got to admit I'm really not sure but try returning the perfumes on their own and keep your fingers crossed......

Usually you need to return the free item also - I've returned items from brochures without the free gift and its been fine....but for a money maker....I imagine they might want you to return the free item as well.

If you heard that Avon products were being sold at a tourist market at 'unbelievably cheap prices', would you report it to Avon?

No - so long as they are genuine products. I would hope no-one would report me for selling at carboots, or anyone who does parties and sells at the time, as strictly we can't do any of those, we have to leave it 24 hours. So long as it isn't imatation items then I don't see the problem x

Thanks, lozza, appreciate your input. The reason I ask is because this is not a case of an official rep selling off their excess stock at car boots, etc. - or at least I don't think so - but possibly part of a larger operation. When asked how they could sell it so cheaply mention was made of "Avon throwing away returned products into skips.... wink, wink, nudge, nudge...." They also said they were 'trying to get hold of a current brochure'. On reflection, it's overseas so there's no way of knowing which factory/skips they're accessing......

Guess will just mind my own business. :cool:

Could be they are just getting the returns that us reps send back? They do sell some ridiculously cheaply at the staff shop there apparently....but the only way to get there as a rep/sl is if your asm invites you...so chance of that ever happening for me lol

Hmmm.... You could be right but I suspect they're accessing items skipped/thrown away by Avon. Just wondered whether I should be passing on such info. Having said that am told the fragrances were still wrapped/sealed so can't see why Avon would skip those. No matter, will just keep my nose out methinks.

MC, I would just forget you ever heard anything about this. You don't know where the proceeds are being used, it could be for organised crime and you don't want to get tangled up with that!
