I have today recieved my 3rd letter, the first two were from Roxburghe, the third was from Grahame White (which is digitally signed by the infamous Micheal Sobell) I have not and will not respond to these letters and any of my colleagues at work are also told to simply ignore them we pay for parking permits annually and the PPC have now taken away more staff parking and made them into a pay & display I am not paying anymore to a company for parking when they are not providing a service I am paying for0

Morning all, I have now received a letter from PS&P Ltd stating that they have been appointed by Car Parking Partnership and I must pay by 7th August.
Has anyone had any experience dealing with these guys?
I will post the letter in a bit. I was to the understanding that Car Parking Partnership would have to go to court first before they appointed Debt collectors!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
No, that's bailiffs.
Debt Collectors are completely powerless and can't do any of that barging down your front door and grabbing the cat / telly / fridge stuff like you see on the telly. To be honest, bailiffs can't really do that either but you get the idea.
Debt Collectors' powers stretch to politely asking for the money, and on being told 'no' they have to toddle off into the distance.
We've seen quite a lot from Car Parking Partnership. Not sure who PS&P are?Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Start you own thread pls.
Debt collectors have no powers. They are not baliffs. Don't confuse the two plsFor everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -

Thank you so much for that Manxred, I was really beginning to worry! Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it.
Sorry BASFORDLAD I thought I could ask a quick question in this thread!!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
PS&P? What does that stand for? Philips, or a Solicitor? Either way they are only acting as a toothless debt collector (= pen pusher).
Google them with the words 'ignore PPC' and you'll probably find them discussed before on here or on pepipoo forum.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry BASFORDLAD I thought I could ask a quick question in this thread!!
A quick question is fine, but the reason for suggesting a new thread is that we find the same people understandably come back with follow-up queries, e.g. your original post in this thread isn't even on this page.
If you have your own thread it helps the regulars know the history of your case and give you appropriate advice. If it's on an existing thread like this one your previous posts will probably have sunk into the thread and won't be seen.
EDIT: New thread here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/41017770 -
My sister received a letter from the infamous Michael Sobell regarding an outstanding bill on behalf of the Post Office. Roxburghe were named as the owners of the debt. She received a final warning - there were no preliminary letters - full of BOLD words and
- bullet
- points.
But here is the sickest part. My sister passed away nearly 18 months prior to the date of the letter.
It's another way this company can rake up the hurt and pain associated with the death of a loved one.
The letter was ignored and shredded. No other letters arrived.
BTW, my Mum worked for a solicitors office for almost 40 years. She handled debts. Her advice is to talk to your local Citizen's Advice Bureau.
If you are in debt, to a legitimate and fair-minded company, CAB will help you organise your finances and advise you on how much you can pay and how often.
Don't let things get on top of you. This website is full of good advice. That's why you came here!0 -
Our condolences on your loss.
CAB? For debts, yes. For private parking tickets, no. Unfortunately, the CAB went to the British Parking Association for advice. How can I put this kindly? ... It was like going to the "British Burglars' Association" for advice on home security. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0
