I was going to say a creamy colour, cause white would be too harsh against black I think - would make it pretty cold I think! A sagey green would really warm it up though I think.

Spent £6.72 today at the supermarket. Dipped into next weeks spends :o Urgh, will do better next week!

Did find out though, that at the Tesco recycle centres I can also get points for plastic bottles, tin cans ect! More things to save :D

    Morning!

Woke up to an amazon email saying I've sold a book :D Will have to dip even more into next weeks spends though, but I suppose it's for 'profit' in the end. Going to wait until the post has been though, just incase MusicMagpie were telling the truth over the cheque turning up this week. Still in my jammies at this point though :o

Only 20p on the scratchcards today. But better than nothing!

Didn't have a great nights sleep, OH thought it would be a fab idea to watch the Forth Kind and Dorian Gray. Both of which would be utterly fine on their own, as they weren't really scary. But together made for an alien and angry painting filled nightmares. Blegh!

Not much planned for today, need to go into town to post the book now. But bar that will just take the pooch for a walk and OH wants to have dinner at a pub. Luckily he's paying :D

Sounds like a lovely day's plans Cinny, it's nice and sunny outside today and feels all springy, and according to the BBC this morning it's set to be like this til Monday so just need to get rid of this cold and can go on a lovely walk at the weekend :)

Those brownies look absolutely gorgeous! My Nan has grown rhubarb and so made rhubarb posset and white chocolate and rhubarb trifle, both of which were lovely. Don't reckon I've lost any weight this week though. :o

This arrived this morning. We have no sofas for our house or beds, but hey, its pretty!

I love that! I don't need one though so it will have to wait.

Since Cinny's tends to be a pretty thread, what colour would people paint the walls in a kitchen with black gloss units? It has a creamy marble floor, and isn't all that big or bright because it gets very little direct sunlight, so I don't think it could tolerate a deep colour, but I'm trying to work out what would go?

I would probably go with a cream colour to match the floor. But actually the green sounds good.

Congrats on the book sale and the petrol allowance! You seem to be doing really well with your driving so I reckon you'll pass first time :)

I have a feeling I'm not going to past first time, so I'm weirdly relaxed about the test. Got it booked though, so have a maybe-end date to it all.

Yesterday we decided to go too the seaside because it was so sunny :D Moved £40 out of the 'holiday' account for it. But also spent £1.32 on postage for the book, and £1.59 in cash machine charges as it's actually impossible to find a free cash machine in the part where we were. Total spends = £42.91. Was a great day though, played 10 pin bowling for the first time in years (I lost) and went on a couple rides. Have pictures on my flickr if you're nosey! :grin:CLICK

Will be much better with my money this week though. Moved a total of £60.09 into various savers, paid my board and put £10 into OHs account for diesel. Have £40 left for the week now, but I think it's going to be pretty tight. We'll see! Looking forward to going back to work next week, I end up spending way too much trying to entertain myself on days off :o

Sweet pictures Cinny, i havent been to the seaside in so long! Looks like you had fun. Taking the kids bowling next week, but im rubbish at it! Should be interesting getting beat by a bunch of kids! :D

How you getting on with Jackpot Joy? I havent won a thing on their Tiki Catch game for nearly 4 weeks now!
If you have a Foxy Bingo account, dont forget to log in everyday and play their 'Everyones a Winner' instant game for free. Won 50p, 50p, 75p and 25p over the last 4 days, so thats pretty good :D

I don't think I ever deposited onto JPJ in the end! I know I have an account with them though :D Well done with your Foxy Bingo winnings though. I only got 20p on my scratchies again today - but better than nothing!

OH has gone home for the day, so I'm left alone! Spends of the day time

    Foundation - £7.99
    Dinner - £13.08
    Total: £21.07

Have £18.93 left now. My Sister is wanting to go shopping on Monday, but although there are things I want I can't afford them so I'm trying to get out of it :o

Also cancelled my booking with the hair dressers. Although it was a seriously nice treat it's nothing I can't do at home for 1/4 of the cost.

Feeling a little glum :( OHs car insurance came through was earlier than we thought. With an accident that happened last year (not his fault) and that he has to say his car is for work purposes with the amount of miles he does now. It's doubled :( Thankfully they do the monthly payments but things will be even tighter for us both now, so I've decided to not to add to the house account until I've fully paid into the laptop account. Just one of those things I guess! But better to cut back with my savings now and get through it than just have things being extra tight for something that isn't a major priority right now.

So I've taken the house savings bit out of my sig for the time being, or it will just depress me by not going up :D I have moved the £30 out that I put in this morning into my current account though, to kind of round it down. And found £70 in an old saver that I've moved into my CA too - which will make things a lot easier this week. And I can get some summery clothes on Monday when I go shopping with my Sister - I'm only thinking a couple basic shirt dresses so shouldn't spend more than £20.

Really need to get my head back into it all though, I was doing really well before my week off which has totally thrown me. Never thought I'd actually look forward to going back to work! :o Won't stress it too much this weekend though, I'll sit down and work it all out again on Monday night.
