I'd be angling for a discount on a trip for next year when the work is complete too!

Want to ring for me? :D ahah!

I'm out all day tomorrow, work then the hairdressers, so won't be able to call. Asked OH if he'd ring up and sort it out but he 'isn't good with that kind of thing'. Excuses! It's stupid how he's the outgoing one and I'm really shy in everything else but when it comes to things like this we switch completely! I'll figure it out somehow!

Poddle - I'm hoping it wont be too bad, I still really want to go. Me and OH already have the week all planned out and I'm all excited! :o Just a bit tiddled off as they should have known at least last year that they'd be doing the works (needing planning and all) but didn't put any warnings on dates/say anything when I booked?

I'm a queen of the sob letter! I'd send a letter saying how disappointed I am that my holiday plans have been 'ruined', we were going to celebrate a special occasion, we'd hoped to become regulars but we're not sure if we would go back, we were planning on recommending it to friends etc and suggest that I may be tempted to book for next year if they offered an incentive. I prefer to send letters than ask in person/ over the phone because you can really ham it up without going blank, it also gives them time to think of a good way to deal with your complaint! It's always worth a try!

Hmm, sounds like it's worth a try Birdie! I'll have a go at writing a letter tonight. But if I fail and can't do it, which is likely as I'm rubbish with words, a phone call it is! Actually have a couple other letters I want to send to companies, so it might get the ball rolling!

Almost hometime. Feeling better, but still wanting to crawl back into bed! My Mum is picking me up, then we're off to the Supermarket to get some stuff for tea. I will behave though, I don't need anything and would rather put £10 into the laptop account instead of spending it on stuff I don't *need* Payday tomorrow, sadly excited to do the budget this week :o

Oo, also. Twirly Martins to my OH who got his CC under 1k today :money: He's getting there bless him!

Might try that approach next time Birdie instead of the pee'd off cowbag I normally go for! :D

Cinny My OH's the same - especially when we're abroad - I speak Frenh and Spanish but even in Italy and Czech Republic I had to do all the talking!

Well done to OH - brill milestone!! :D

Oooh well done to Mr Cinny! Twirly Martins indeed!

OH makes me do all the nasty things like complaining and talking to strangers, he doesn't like to seem too bolshy but I'm allowed to be the nasty one!

Who do you think has the job of ringing BT to cancel part of the account and Legal and General to whinge about the fact that they haven't changed the account details like I asked them to? Cos it ain't him!

Yup, well done Mr Cinny - that's great!

Jeez, I feel like I'm always complaining about one thing or another! But luckily OH does his fair share too - he wrote to Samsung as our brand new oven only had 1 shelf and a grill pan and they just sent us 2 new shelves!! So now he is chief complainer in our house :)

Although I successfully challenged a £35 parking ticket which was pretty much my fault :o I followed by boss's advice that I go for empathy rather than rage so my letter was full of 'I know how busy you must be' and 'you do such a great job, it would be so disappointing if you couldn't oversee this one little thing' HA HA HA!

I think my OH thinks just because I'm a girl I can get away with being a bit mardy with people! I suppose I shouldn't moan, I quite like complaining really!

Not up to much tonight. I'm kind of creeped out by the fact it's amost 7 and I can't see the sun setting. Been really sad watching Twilight spoofs and catching up on ShaneDawson on youtube :o tum-te-tum!

Hope you're all having a more interesting night than me!

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, hope you feel better soon.
