The 'surprise' party was great, loads of things on sticks and those tinned hotdogs! Nomnomnom, my Sister and Mum got a bit carried away so there's still loads of party food around the house. So I think I'll be gaining a stone over the next couple days!

Been really bad with my spending diary this weekend :( I normally get receipts, but I sent OH to order at the pub yesterday and he forgot. Plus I put the change in my penny jar and that's thrown me so I can't work it out from change. I know where it all went, diesel, food and twister lollipops. So it's not all bad! I have £30 left for the week. Which is oodles more than enough, so I might get to move some more pennies into the Laptop account before payday.

Driving lesson went really well today! We went to where the test center is for me to get a feel for the roads around it, and he's suggested I ring up and book my test for 6 weeks time. Will speak to my Parents about it tonight as they said at the start they'd pay for my test, just need to know if that still stands.

Going to the pub on my road for dinner with my Sister today. Shouldn't cost more than £7 or so as it's one of those '2 for £10' shindigs! Then I need to tidy my room this afternoon, and get everything ready for work tomorrow.

Dinner was cheaper than I thought, my Sister paid for the drinks so it was just the £5 for food. Also put £5 in the pot for buying tea so spends for today:

    Dinner - £5
    Tea - £5
    Total - £10 *mathematical genius*

That'll be it for today. Not too shabby!

Only working 4 days this week, then I'm off for 10 days! Not a clue what I'm going to do. Hoping the weather is nice so I'll be able to go on some walks, either with OH or with my pooch. And have a couple of days at my Grandparents so I can see my Great Aunt a bit more while she's visiting. Just trying to keep the costs as low as I can.

Off to have some cuddles with my cat before I need to get up and ready for OH getting here.

Happy New Shiney Week Everyone

I hope I do Wendz! Don't want to just be sat around the house all week rolling_eyes.gif We'll see! Will be nice to just catch up on sleep. The BST clock change has only *just* thrown me, I was fine Sunday morning but a total wreck today - over slept then was very clumsy with everything because I was on a rush!

Have bought myself the best thing ever to work to cheer me up after the rubbish start - a box of biscuits! We've got KitKats, Chocolate Fingers, Jammy Dodgers, Party Rings and Mini Egg Cake (technically not a biscuit, but it was in the biscuit jar) I'd love to feel guilty, but firstly it's not all for today (topping up my biscuit stash!) and I'm going running this afternoon so it's basically cancelled out :A My Mum got a free copy of MOS Running Tracks - or something - and I want to see if it's any better than my running music at the moment.

OH has given me his Cineworld stuff so I can ring up and cancel his card today. He's also given the DVD rental idea a thumbs up, and seems happy enough at the idea of going on walks most weekends. Will have to start thinking of cheap picnic ideas if we're really wanting to start 'economizing' as spending free day walking about is great, but not so great when it's topped by a £20 Pub Meal.

Not much planned for today in the way of MSE-goodness. Work until 12:30 then running this afternoon (on the dreadmill mind, it's so cold today!) *taps chin* I think that's it! Might offer to cook tea too.

Hi Cinny - happy belated birthday, sounds like you had a lovely time and were very spoilt :) Was Marlon around in the Woolpack? :happyhear

I love how your thread turns into a shopping thread, all this talk of summer clothes - I really want to start wearing skirts and sandals but I think there's snow forecast for this week!

Fab news on the payrise too, you'll be able to have fun tweaking all your budgets :D

Haha, sadly not!! Just a group of old men that spent about 10 minutes umming and ahhing over the baguette of the day before agreeing it was a good offer and ordering one each. Not that I listened in

Rang up and cancelled OHs Unlimited contract. But unlike when I cancelled mine the guy said that OH had one more payment. So I'm guessing mine has one more payment left too, despite what the person said when I cancelled mine. Have the money set to one side anyways so it's no big deal. Would just be nice if they didn't

Afternoon! The plans for running went out the window as the dreadmill has given up the ghost, wouldn't start properly and kept on jumping. I'll try again Wednesday morning.

Spent the afternoon looking at the campsites on the Mirror list that OH is getting the coupons for. Thinking of telling him not to bother anymore, the sites aren't the type of thing we're after. Will show him the list when he gets to mine tonight, if he agrees I'm sure I can find the vouchers we've got so far a good home. The money on the news paper wasn't really wasted though, kept OH entertained at work!

Off to the supermarket tonight. Pippin is almost out of kibble, so just need to grab a bag of that and a bag of frozen fish (he likes it cooked with milk :o) shouldn't spend too much.

That is a shame that the campsites weren't what you were looking for. Hopefully you will find something else and I am sure the vouchers will go to good use with someone else.

I told OH about the sites last night and he says he'll have look tonight. We'll see! It's tempting to go just because we have the vouchers, but factoring in the holiday days we'll have to use up and the general cost while we're there we mareswell just pay a bit extra for the site and go somewhere we really want to.

Dragged my Mum to the supermarket last night and got lots of yellow stickered stuff! Ended up spending/getting:

Cadburys Mini Eggs Easter Egg - Reduced to 49p
Sandwich for my dinner today - Reduced to 39p
Ham Sandwich Palette for OH - Reduced to 72p
Cheese and Tom Sandwich Palette for my Dad - Reduced to 72p
Raspberry Doughnuts *yum* - Reduced to 9p
Bottle of Sprite for OH - £1
    Kibble for Pippin - £2.02

    Total Spend - £5.43

Really quite chuffed with all that! :o My Dad and OH were upset when we got home as they'd missed out on the 'bargains' But I'd been asking OH to take me all evening, so it's his own fault really!

Moved £4.77 into the Laptop account, so that's up to £220.48 now.

Money wise things are still looking pretty rosy. Not a clue what I'll be getting paid on Thursday though (get paid a day early because of the BH) so I'll figure it out Friday when I've got the day free.

At work all day today. Thinking I'll have quite a busy morning but I'm not holding out much hope for the afternoon. We'll see!
