MrsE, please don't be cross....but I've noticed that you are putting up arguments against suggestions which could help you or at least give you hope. You are also talking about Charlie in the past tense. You are of course feeling very down about Charlie's disappearance, but please do not give up your efforts or give up all hope.0

The contents of the hoover got thrown over the front garden, then the whole house got hoovered & that got thrown out the back.0 -
Ah good! I am keeping everything crossed that when Charlie sniffs the air he decides enough is enough and comes back to you immediately.0

Since about 48 hours was gone & that was Wednesday morning I've been scared (but not said it on here or vocally) that he's trapped somewhere without food or water & is going to die a horrible death.0

Tess once went missing, the only time she has, for four days so please try to stay positive. I agree about the fox thing, i've seen a cat chase off a fox. The local radio might be worth a try, sometimes they have pet finder segments. I'd offer a reward, anything to get him back. Also talk to local kids if you can, they see & hear much more than we do & get about so may see him? Fingers crossed! Hope your other two cats are ok too x0

Noooo! Don't think that, you will drive yourself crazy having these horrible and awful thoughts. He could just as easily be living the life on a soft cushion in front of an open fire and accepting all the free food he can eat.
Can you and your OH or a friend go out this evening after dark with a torch and some smelly treats. Just call his name quietly, walk quietly and listen listen listen and shine your torch around into the bushes. You mightn't be brave enough to go into the wooded area, but do go into fields and along hedgerows. Charlie is worth the effort, please don't give up on him.0 -

My DD & her DF combed the bridal path today (we had already checked a couple of times) but this time they took a couple of hours out there.
I often pop out at night (a few times) early morn, calling him.0 -
I know it's hard but do try to stay positive. When I got missy back she was covered in motor oil so I wondered whether she has been trapped in either a garage or a car engine? If you go out late have a look under all of the cars (even if people do think your mad) as cats like to get next to warm engines.
Im keeping everything crossed for you and Charlie xx:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

I agree with you that the most likely scenario is that he's got locked in some garage or outbuilding somewhere. I most definitely disagree that he will die a horrible death! Cats have survived for weeks without food or water and still return home to live long and happy lives. Stay positive! The possibility of being locked somewhere is even more reason why you should go out when it's quiet so you can hear him answering you when you call.
Have you knocked on every neighbour's door and asked them to check sheds and garages while you wait? Anyone gone away on holiday recently?
Your darling boy WILL come home to you. He will0
