Somone coming into my house...

..just to add I'm pretty sure my ex let himself into my flat several times after we split up. It wasn't a happy break up, and he went a bit odd afterwards.
I realised one evening when I was looking for a particular frying pan that is always kept in the same place. It definitely wasnt there. The ex had been in the weekend before to collect some last bits and pieces, so I texted him just to ask if he had taken this pan by mistake. Got no reply, but the following weekend I opened the same cupboard and the pan was there.
I got the locks changed immediately after that as I am out at work all day and he could have been coming and going as he pleased.
It freaked me out.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

The lesson there is, when you split up with a partner, change the locks immediately.Like good food and drink?
Try Hotel Chocolat and Baileys.

Well done on being so calm - I am home alone and completely freaked out now! Just checked all of the cupboards etc & wondering how many of the previous tenants of this flat still have a key?:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

My concern is that once the OP does change the locks the intruder will not be deterred. He'll know he's been sussed and could step up his activities to goodness knows what. OP, please do as has been suggested and phone your local police station and report the intrusions now0

It'll be interesting to see what OP decides to doMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

I just find it hard to believe that a lone female who believes she is being watched/having her home entered when she is not there etc, would be so complacent about it. I'd be neurotic and no way would I stay there on my own, exam or no exam!!!
Apologies to the OP if I'm wrong..I'm not in the best frame of mind myself this evening, but it all seems a bit fishy to me.:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
I know where you are coming from, but you lot must have scared the living daylights out of her last night!
The post about the camera freaked me out so goodness only know what it did for alyth.
But anyway, hope you're ok alyth and managed to get some sleep.
Good luck with your exam today too.0 -
alyth, hope you managed to sleep last night, i would be so scared thinking someone had been in my house and had a set of keys
good luck for the exam todayenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -
My post is genuine, for those that doubt me, I had read the previous post someone earlier had put the thread up about. I read more than I post.
I've left a message for the factor already about changing the locks. I haven't contacted the police yet as I'm still trying decide whether to or not - they might think I am some mad middle aged woman (I'm not - truly, this has been going on for a while) as I don't wany any recriminations if they contact the guy who I think it is.
I'm a calm person, I'm just glad that I have found out that someone was coming in. However I am glad that I didn't read your comments about the camera last night, as I really would never have slept!!! Once my exam is over if I don't hear from the factor I will contact a locksmith and get them to come out as soon as possible - today!
Thanks for all your help, When I get home today I can assure you I will be going through the house looking for a camera, I truly had not thought of that, that is very creepy.
Now I need to get my head into electoral systems for my exam at 11.0
