You are kidding me right? Watching something on a TV series does NOT mean it is true.

(Although i'm not saying it is false, i'm stating that "i watched it on the bill" is useless in terms of proving a point).
no i knew it was true, but trying to bk sumin up by saying u saw it on tc always makes me laugh, so i thought id do it

Blimey OP! That's something to think about isn't it!

I've flogged a few on e-Bay and given many many of the things away to friends, I wouldn't have dreamt that this could ever happen.
howveer the police can trace exactly where these calls texts are coming from!! therefore me selling them over ebay or whatever to ppl living miles away, keeps me safer than u giving them to ur mates living round the corner
Not that this thread will stop me, i make too much money

Laura, you have to be 18 to trade on e-Bay ;)

  • This is a warning also for all of us who may change networks and sell on our old sim cards(maybe because they have credit on them). I've bought a few secondhand sims over the years and resold some of them. I wouldnt want to sell on one of my own though-this did occur to me a while ago and I thought the whole thing far too risky(although it appears unlikely) for the small amount of money you will get for them.

  • A neighbour of mine has been fighting to prove his innocence for 3 years over a sim card, he lost his phone on the prom at Blackpool, called Virgin mobile to switch it off, they did not, the phone was months later found in a house in leicester with a load of indecent images on it, they have traced the sim back to my neighbour and from there on in, he has been called a !!!!!phile by the local newspaper his life has been turned upside down, the lad is a carer for 2 elderly parents, he does not have a pc or laptop and the only reason he had the phone was for when the ambulance was dropping one parent off and he was somewhere else with the other they could contact him fast.
Anyhow he is trying to get proof of phone records and payments made to this sim, but he is having no luck Virgin said they only keep records for 3 months for PAYG phones, but I have a feeling this is not so, as they must have to show their auditors what money has come in and where from, so whoever has been filling this phone with credit has obviously been doing the dirty images, he needs this info has anyone any idea on how we can get it, does anyone work for Virgin, this man needs to clear his name and the only way is with Virgins help, if anyone knows anything about how this business works it would really help us, to fight to clear this young man.
  • They are only able to see the PAYG call/top up history for 3 months. If he did call Virgin to report the SIM lost then there should be a record of this on his account.
  • He did but they said due to human error they never disconnected the telephone for another 18 months?
