    hi everyone,

know what you mean about feeling a bit down - i am getting a bit like that and I think its just trying to sort everything - still havent got BM dresses or a photographer and these are pretty important so that that is stressing me out! i do also think it is the weather - it is so grey and dreary out!

going to meet organist tonight which should be good, and had a surprise visit from my godmother today (who cant make the wedding) with a gift - which was really lovely!

    sending you all hugs xx

Well now I feel bad whinging and sobbing about changing my name. OH just rung and his Gramp died this afternoon :(

Some of u will remember me saying a few weeks ago that he was ill and looking bad. He was so close too, we made our date in April as our venue only had April or October for saturday weddings this year and April gave him the best chance of making it. Just thought I would let u guys know x

Mrs Moore thanks so much for your kind words. Big hugs to you too x x

All I must admit it is a bit wierd about loosing your name I was in a job interview today and as I wrote my name out on the psycho metric test I realised I wouldn't be doing this for much longer... although have considered double barreling it so I get to keep my bit while taking on his :p

Magicboo - Iam intrigued what were your invites?

The postbox is also a fab idea going to have a think on this....

Thank u everyone, OH is fine, he's one of those who doesn't share his emotions too often, so it's quite hard to comfort him. Not sure if its hit home yet that he's gone.

  • Sorry to hear your sad news Sammr, it is really difficult to comfort my H2b too, he doesn't do emotions either (which is totally opposite to me!) so I find it really difficult to do the right thing with him. Just you being there with him will be a great comfort, I'm sure. x
We've just had the Vicar round for a wedding chat, he's read all our Banns now, so it's full steam ahead! We've also decided on our readings, we're having an excert from Song of Solomon and "He never leaves the seat up" by Pam Ayres..
He never leaves the seat up
Or wet towels upon the floor
The toothpaste has the lid on
And he always shuts the door!

She says she loves his kindness
And his patience is a must
And of course she thinks he’s handsome
Which in her eyes is a plus!

    He’s a very active person
    Exercise is just the ticket
Where as she likes lazy days
He’ll drag her to the cricket!

She romances him and dines him
Home cooked dinners and the like
She even knows his favourite food
And spoils him day and night!

She’s thoughtful when he looks at her
    A smile upon his face
Will he look that good in 50 years
When his dentures aren’t in place?!

He says he loves her figure
    And her mental prowess too
But when gravity takes her over
Will she charm with her IQ?

    They’re both not wholly perfect
But who are we to judge
    He can be quite stubborn
    And she won’t even budget!

    All that said and done
They love the time they spent together
And I hope as I’m sure you do
That this fine day will last forever.

He’ll be more than just her husband
    He’ll also be her friend
And she’ll be more than just his wife
She’s be his soul mate ‘till the end..

we are going for light hearted after all the serious stuff, and it is actually quite appropriate as he loves his cricket and I love my baking!
  • sammr85 sorry to hear your sad news.

Just wanted to say to sexymouse, my acne also returned when i came off of the pill in september. I was prescribed the pill in my teens to make it go away (it worked). I was a bit upset to get the spots back. I started using Bio Oil on my face to help with the scarring from the spots, it's really good, although it's an oil it's absorbed really quickly and is really light. It's made the skin on my face lovely. I don't like using creams or pills from the doc so got some natural tablets from Tescos (Skin Complexion or something) which seemed to help. The Bio Oil definately made a difference, OH noticed how much better my skin was looking. Also, i think your hormones settle down a bit after a while, i've been off the pill for 6 months now and my skin is not as bad as when i first stopped.

Finally feel things are getting sorted now - it's been really hard with OH not having a job and wedding plans are the least of our worries. But met with our friends (who are event/wedding planners and are letting us use everything they have) on the weekend and they really put our minds at rest about what we have to do. Worked out we don't need to hire a generator and I got a bargain on the toilet hire, so now have about £200 i can spend on my dress from the budget my parents are so kindly giving us.

Emailed most of our invites out yesterday (I designed them in word and made into a jpeg), we are printing some out for family, but are waiting for the ink cartridge to be delivered (typical the printer runs out of ink when we need it!) We have got some ready scored in half A4 card (invites are A5 size) and 25 envelopes for £3 so the invites will prob cost us about £10 in total.:money:

    It's finally all happening - yay! :j
