Not long til mine now (9th April), just been painting MDF Mr & Mrs sign today, it's looking great. Got mmenu tasting Sunday and getting some questions answered that are playing on our minds (mad how the little ones do it huh?) and then need to get my dress taken in.... arghhh! Oh, and flowers, forgot about those!

    Un sou est un sou
  • Big wedding prep day for me tomorrow! Hair and makeup trial in the morning, then meeting our florist in the afternoon! Oooh, it's all happening! Now got to surf for hair pictures, and make a final decision :)

Hope it goes well FlowerPower. I had a similar day today!

Ordered our cake - good old M&S!

Went to the florist wholesalers (Inspirations on the Wirral - if you're nearby then go, I could have bought the entire place) to buy ribbon, organza wrap, candles, mirror plates and table scatter.

Then...bead shopping for our wine charms.

Then......hairdresser for a bridesmaid hair trial.

Gave the Linea Raffaelli dress to my Mum, she was made up, she looks like a real mother of the bride now, suits her perfectly and she was so happy about it she wa telling everyone who would listen how her daughter had bought her a dress!

    Fab day all round!

Yay Natzini, I too am an April 9th bride :)

Well it's now just 6 weeks to go! Seems like we have loads left to do but I think thats because March is such a hectic month for us. We have the funeral next Friday, we're goign to a friends wedding reception on Saturday and staying overnight, then our last banns are being read in our local church Sunday. Plus I have a week long hospital appointment with DS so that week all focus will be on him.

Went shopping with my mum yesterday and she brought her hat for the wedding :) She's goign to look fab! I also finally got some info on my dress which was due in at the beginning of Feb! It will be here no later than the 11th March!! At least I know the end is in sight, now to get serious with the dieting ready for my fitting!

  • As your date twin Bride2be I have to say that I am terrified by your statement!! We have so much still to do!!!

After lusting after MrsMoore2Bs post box I decided that I had to get mine sorted. As we're asking for money towards the honeymoon in lieu of a gift list we've decided to stick to that theme. We ordered a lovely retro vintage suitcase off ebay for the princely sum of £4.99 (£10 postage tho boo) and it arrived today! Its huuuuuugge! We're going to stick some placename stickers of our honeymoon destination onto it and prop the lip open to create a post hole bit thing.

    I'm a tad excited!

Thank you thank you thank you, Insomniac you have just managed to solve my italian theme problem!!!

After reading your above idea I thought it was genius!! so from that came vintage italian travel posters for table names and general decoration and if you don't mind also a big old vintage case for the pressies etc :p There is a wonderful seller on the bay of E who does oldie worldi luggage labels and has loads for italy. So now also having cream luggage labels for place names. Its like reading that one sentence has put to rest a number of things bugging me and solved my trying to get italian theme to work so thank you thank you :) :T:T

Hey Becks - When's your wedding? Also would you mind sharing that seller? We're honeymooning to Italy so have been after some luggage labels and stickers etc to jazz up our suitcase! Was going to print some off and give it the teabag aging treatment but not to sure how successful it'll be so could do with a back up!
