I am hoping its just last minute nerves. Flowerpower, part of my woes are the changing of the name. Still undecided what to do. You can tell I havent been concentrating at work as am on the forum more often recently.

Thanks for the hug! I think we should have happy hugs all round for everyone.

Well I went to the doctor on Monday morning because I've got worse acne than I had in my teens now as I've come off the pill (we're hoping to try for a baby on honeymoon), and I've just been prescribed zineryt topical lotion to put on. The nurse seemed confident that my skin would be looking a lot better (if not clear) by the wedding in 6 weeks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I thought I was virtually sorted with the planning, but my Mum was meant to be making the cupcakes for our reception when we come home, and she's now decided that she won't be able to (it was the only thing I've given to anyone else to do), so I'm stressing bout that now, as getting someone to do it for a Bank Holiday (reception is good Friday) is probably going to complicate things too, let alone cost a lot (she said she'd pay, but has no idea how expensive these things can be). I've got an awful feeling that I'm going to get home from honeymoon and have to start baking them myself!

I'm not going to change my name for a while, as I only got new passport and driving license last year, and as a supply teacher, my name is my business.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the name change worries! I know I won't mind once it happens, and H2B is very excited about me having his name, which is cute I suppose. Yes, happy hugs all around for everyone.
Hope it goes well with the lotion sexymouse. Part of me wants to start trying on honeymoon too, but the other part of me says - mmm, cocktails! so I think we'll wait till after. Maybe you can get a few people round for a cupcake baking session? It'd be great fun and cheaper than buying them... ?

I can't wait to change my name!

Not wedding related, but I passed my driving test today. Was one of those things I wanted to have done before I was 30!

Just being nosy on everyone else's threads. I just wanted to say Sexymouse any time I've been prescribed this it has really cleared up and helped my acne. Unfortunately the effects aren't long lasting for me - when I stopped using it the acne came back in time. But I'm sure you will see a huge benefit in time for your wedding.

    Me either!

    Well done on your test!

To the ladies feeling a bit down I do think the time of year/weather may be planning a part. I always feela bit down in the winter and perk up coming into the spring. We had a random day of sunshine last week and I really felt the benefit from it

Congratulations gleeful on passing your driving test - it's a great achievement!

Thanks to those wishing me well with the lotion. Flowerpower I know what you mean about the cocktails etc - we are all inclusive too, but I'm sure they'll be able to make just as yummy mocktails with all of the fruit juices etc they have.

    Hi All,
I'm looking forward to changing my surname, I think mostly because I'm so bored of my parents being on a downer about the wedding, I'm looking forward to having a different name from them and distancing myself!
Big hugs to everyone feeling down, the H2b and I keep telling each other at the moment that the 1st May (the day after the wedding) will be the happiest day of our lives! I've also made a concious effort to have the odd evening spent with the H2b without any wedding talk, it sort of reminds me what WE are all about and helps me realise my silly wedding worries are actually just that..silly!
We've had a few fab RSVP's to our tea towels now, we have had a seed tray with a note saying "water me to see if xx & xx are coming to your wedding" (it says "Yes" now!), a HUUUUGGE pair of pants with the RSVP printed on it and today we had a pair of mugs that have been printed on with the RSVP, it is brilliant! We think we're going to have them all on display at the reception for people to see and give a prize for the best one!!

Wow magicboo - those RSVPs sound amazing - any chance you could post some pics?
