Hi All,
CSH-i hope you can get some help from the other humanist, I appreciate that others might not think your wedding is as important as you do, but they should understand that it is important! Hopefully you can use the other humanist and start afresh.
Well I now have a big bandage strapped to the front of my nose and 2 weeks to sort out all that other wedding stuff I haven't got round to yet!
I started this morning by emailing the caterer with our canape choices, we are having:
Spinach & ricotta tartlets
Goats cheese & tomato tartlets
Honey & mustard sausages
duck & orange pate
tomato, mozarella & basil skewers
So hopefully something for everyone! I do have a to do list for the next 2 weeks, I think the most important bit is working out who is coming to the evening and design & make the evening invitations!!0 -
We've decided to go with the new Humanist and we are meeting him on Friday night to discuss the service! Very relieved now! HE knows the full story and has been very prompt with replies etc. I think he knows I'm a woman on the edge
Can now hand our forms into the registry office today! Quite excited about that!0 -
I need to de-stress! lol
my sister (moh) thinks i have all the money in the world to pay for everything. Just had a phone call from her telling my my flower girls dress has come back from the alterations place and it will be £25. Ok this doesnt sound like much but when your paying money out left right and centre to everyone its something i cannot afford. I have told them this months ago and told them if their dress needs altering they have to pay themselves and now she is expecting me to pay. Just had a big rant down the phone and basically told her to get her parents to pay and that i simply have no money. it also told her i dont know how i will pay for my own drinks etc for my hen weekend as money is tight and that my auntie who is making my cake will have to be payed on the wedding day as that is my pay day.:T Became Mrs Allison on 23rd April 2011

Do you get paid into the bank? If so your wages will prob go in Thursday 21st with the 22nd being a public holiday and the 23rd being the Saturday.0

Yes it goes straight into my bank. Either way she will have to be payed on the day as will my string quartet due to me not seeing them and its after payday (if it goes in before) string quartet are fine with this:T Became Mrs Allison on 23rd April 2011

CSH so glad you have sorted your humanist.
Am feeling quite shell shocked today. My MIL has been having back problems for a few weeks but instead if painkillers helping she has been getting worse and worse. She has now to date had three lots of bloodwork done, 1 full body xray and she is booked in on sat to have an MRI scan and on the 1st to have a bone marrow sample taken. Her bloodwork came back with protein in it. My OH is beside himself with worry and I am absolutley shocked. I want to rage at the hospital to get it done NOW not wait weeks and weeks. I can guarantee the stress of not knowing is going to send FIL and OH into meltdown as they are not the strongest of people. Don't know quite what to do with myself... stressing over BM dresses just isn't important anymore.
What do we do if shes diagnosed with a form of cancer of leukiemia, do we keep the date as it is, postpone or bring it forward.... I suppose it all depends on the diagnosis.
Sorry for rambling just not sure what to do next.....Married the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T

Oh God Becks am so sorry to hear that MIL2B is not well. Have no advice about what to do etc (have you got insurance? if so postponing may be less costly?). Will keep fingers crossed that all goes well with the test etc.0

Becks I am so sorry to hear about MIL2B, I also have no advice but maybe once you know the diagnosis ask MIL2B what she would like? That way you can't make the wrong choice for her as she has told you whether or not to go ahead with the planned date.
Will be thinking of u and I hope u get the best results from the tests. xTotal Debt at LBM - £19107.03Total now - £11091.220 -
