I hope you don't mind my feedback re your hair photos aarch, but I think the stems on the greenery look a little long too,as they stick out a bit at the top. I think you're right about the amount of flowers being a bit OTT. I think it is also the size of the flowers that may be a problem. I like the effect you are going for, but I think at the moment, with the flowers being so large, they overwhelm the style a bit. Is is possible for her to put smaller roses and green bits in?Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Thanks sexymouse! Yes some of the flowers were just put in to see what they looked like and so the stems werent cut off. Im going to have much less of everything so it will prob be about half the size and better arranged (we tried it after I put the camera away!).0

Ooh, I'm so excited! :j I've just found someone who is going to be at our resort at the same time as us when we get married, who has offered to be our witnesses. They are Canadian, and going there to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary! My birthday is Canada Day, so hopefully this is a good omen.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

BrB24-that looks amazing! You will have a honeymoon you'll never forget I reckon!
Sexymouse-that's definately one of those fate things!, how nice that you'll know them a bit before you go!
We had our "marriage preparation" class with the Vicar yesterday, there were 4 couples in total and they went through things like the running order of the ceremony, where the words come from (in the 15th century, the woman had to promise to be "behun (beautiful) & buxom"!), the whole hand holiding thing and then through options on readings, hymns etc.. I found it SO useful and actually quite interesting! The Vicars attitude was "it's your day, you make sure you get what you want" which was lovely!
It has made it very real though!! They gave us a 3 month count down of things to do for the ceremony bit, of which we have done NONE! Luckily our Vicar seems as laid back as us and is happy to wait for us to have a think and let him know what our plans are!
As I've got the next 2 weeks of work, due to this nose op thing, I'm hoping I'll feel well enough in a few days to start making plans and get on with loads of stuff-we'll see!!0 -
Our rings arrived yesterday and today we did the suits. I've finally spotted a bouquet I like.
It's all coming together!0 -
ooh that bouquet is amazing!
MagicBoo - I wish we still did the 15th century vows. 'behun' - hilarious!!0 -
Wow ladies, sorry not been on for a bit, its been manic as I am sure you all are busy.
RSVP's are rolling in via the website which has been a huge help as it also has a message board for people to ask questions and or take the mickey
Spent Saturday wandering round derby looking for BM dresses and wedding rings. I just cannot find one I like
Did pop into a party shop to price up balloons. Have found the battery lights I want am now trying to decorate the room in my head. We are going for an italian style so going to buy ourselves some chianti, the ones with the raffia stuff on the bottom and put candels in them for the table centres
Our band have let us down so am now looking for a good covers band for the midlands
Curlylou - Where did you go for BM dresses in the end? I'm also struggling on the BM dresses front, however on the upside Primark have some nice tiaras for £3 eachHave emailed the three of them and asked for the opinions on a dress I found on ebay and have asked for their measurements. I woke up sat morning after having a nighmare where I was sat in my dress 2 hours before getting married but I had no bouquet, the music wasn't sorted and the bridesmaids had nothing to wear... everyone was looking at me to sort it and I was like this is my day leave me alone!! absolute nightmare!!
Food at Venue almost sorted got appt this weekend to try food and also to go to a decorations place to see about maybe hiring some decs.
Need to contact Linda and see if anything has been done to my dress and sooo happy cause I have a bid on my other wedding dress which I put back on ebay so am just about breaking even on that :T
Hope everyone is okMarried the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T
Re- Renovating our 1893 build 1970's renovated property oh the joys..0 -
I'm well and truely !!!!!! off with my Humanist! I've emailed him 5 times in the last 6 weeks and hes not replied to any. 2 months to the wedding and I have no ceremony written! I've gotten slowly more and more hacked off with his inability to answer so I think its time I call it a day with him. I did get in touch with another bride who used him and she did say he had a 'lax' attitude to answering email but I think its gone past the point of being funny now. Can't see me getting 1st draft, any edits plus a rehearsal squeezed into the next 2 months when he won't answer!
Raaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! And breath lol
I've approched another humanist and asked if its the done thing to swap or what else can I do?? I better be able to get someone.................I might even have a think about a civil ceremony which is not what I wanted
I've also paid him a £50 deposit that I suppose I won't see again0
