How exciting!! I went more wedding dress shopping at the weekend :) Found another beautiful dress, this one by Jasmine Bridal, but I can't find it on their website!! When the lady at the shop pulled it out for me to try, all of us just went "oooooh" with delight at it. Then she got me to try on the one I liked most first - which was that one - and it was the most beautiful one on, as well!

So I'm going back to the first place I tried on the Sincerity dresses this Sat, with 2 of my maids, to try & compare them in my head. It's weird - none of the dresses I've liked when I've tried them on are ones I have picked out in wedding magazines at all (and unfortunately some of the ones I've really loved the look of in magazines, on designer websites etc, just aren't available to try on in stores), and I never thought I would like a halterneck style, but somehow it really suits me, I think!

I know, the ones I liked when I tried them on were the ones I dismissed when looking online/in magazines! And the ones I loved I tried a similar style on and didnt like it as much at all!

Im going again in a few weekd back to the one I liked with my mum (as she wasnt with me) but I dont think I can wait that long - I wanna try more on now!! x

Well - went shopping today again and bought it - The Dress!! Am sooo excited!!! It was within budget (budgeted up to £800, dress cost £705) and it's just perfect. Tried it on and could just see everything about it was right. It has a lace-up back, amazing detail on the train and very flattering around the waist. The train is detachable as well - perfect for the evening.

My OH doesn't hang about on here so I'll post the link up for a while:

We found some caterers that aren't going to rip us off, so that's the food sorted.

Almost got all my bridesmaid dresses second hand on ebay.

Think that's everything done! All the Save The Dates have gone out too.

Welcome snoopysox! That's a scary thought to think I'll have been married exactly a week on your wedding day!

Mrs Moore To Be, I'd say you do just know when it's the 'one' - my bridesmaid found my lovely Sottero & Midgley sample but no-one apart from her actually liked it on the peg. Tried it on anyway and knew before it was done up (apart from the fact I accidently got into the lining first off as there's so much fabric in it :o). So pleased to hear all of your dress hunting stories :)

Lots of exciting stuff happening for us in the next week. Seeing our venue set up for someone's wedding for the first time tomorrrow, then it'll feel real and we get to see all their recent refurb work. Then giving notice on Thursday morning ahhhhhh!!!

Oh and a quick shoe recommendation while I'm here... '1stforweddingshoes' on eBay... a lot of their auctions start at 1p with free postage and I managed to pick up a pair for £22.08 (and that was expensive compared to how much some were going for). Looks like they've branched out into bridesmaid dresses too now, though mine are wearing saris as DF is half Indian. On the hunt for a tiara for me now... :) xx
