:wave:Thanks for the welcome!!
Just been looking at bridesmaids dresses..... would really prefer them all (3 adults) to wear the same dress, but they vary hugely in size..... has anyone else had this and know of anywhere we can go that will cater for them..... smallest size 10 largest size 22/24.
Where abouts are you based? x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

I'm near Bolton, can easily get to Manchester..... wondering if it might be easier to get them made!! Never been anything to do with a wedding before so don't know how accommadating the bridal shops are with sizes and would hate for it to be a bad experience for them!! x♥.0

Hmmm, im not sure. Im going to a place next sat with my bridesmaids (a shop) so can let you know how I get on.
My other option is to mail order them from China with measurements to get them made?

i was looking at the option of ordering custom made ones from China, but after reading all the recent posts am now a bit sceptical!!
Ideally I'd love to get them from Debenhams or BHS as the prices are reasonable, but the sizes aren't big enough!!
Will you also let me know an average price of dresses from the bridal shop too please??.... I want something long but quite plain! x♥.0 -
Yeah no probs, ill report back :-)
My BM's are sizes 8, 14 & 18 so a variation too :-) im also going for long and plain ish so will definately be able to give you an idea.
Im taking the chinese reviews with a pinch of salt and if they seem too expensive here I may bite the bullet and order! x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

Thanks Mrs Moore To Be..... you're a star!! I'm worried we'll go into the shop and fall in love with something really expensive!!! I haven't got a great deal to spend so a rough idea would be brilliant!! I am even debating asking the lady who is making my dress to quote me for BM dresses too as she was very reasonabe and came out bang on my budget, luckily!!!
Good uck for your shopping trip x♥.0 -
Go to the upcoming wedding shows, and ask them face to face- its great for ideas so you can get a real feel for the supplier behind the desk!Chair Covers, Organza Sashes, Backdrops, Lights, Napkins, Table Linen.

Debut at Debenhams go from a size 6-22 (but I think they're cut on the big side as I bridge two sizes and can easily fit into the smaller one in their dresses).
My BM's are a petite 6, average 10/12 and very tall 18/20... they'll be wearing saris but are on the look out for matching dresses in case they want to get changed for the evening do.
What colour and style did you have in mind? I feel a trawl of t'internet coming on lol... xx:heartpuls Married the Man of my Dreams on Friday 8th April 2011 :heartpuls:female: Little Lady Due Friday 8th July 2016 :female:0 -
If they're on the big side we might be alright, she just bought some new clothes from Asda in size 24..... not sure of Asda sizes though if they are big/small fitting.
I've seen a dress in Debenhams.... its a darker red than I'd hoped for but I love the style.... hope the link to the dress works...

My H2B would prefer them in long dresses though and we are doing the colours of the St Georges flag as our colour scheme.... if you do have a trawl I'm open to all ideas but know my BM would prefer to cover her arms, the other 2 aren't bothered!!!! Thanks Jemma 1986 x♥.0 -
If it's any help, my BM is a 20 in Asda clothes and an 18 in all the Debut ball gowns she's tried on so it might be worth getting yours to try on a 22 in Debenhams.
Your link didn't work for me
Love the idea of St George's colours, that's fantastic! Still on a hunting mission but found this so far (and half price!):-

And for the one who wants to cover her arms, there's a matching bolero:-

Or maybe a white one would work better to tie in with your theme:-
