Hi all. I was very pleased to find this thread. I am getting married on the 16th April 2011 (it'll be our 12 year anniversary). I haven't booked anything yet. In fact I haven't even got an engagement ring (very, very indecisive). Hearing all you guys busy organising away has given me the urge to get on with it. I haven't booked a venue yet, thinking of hiring a hall or somethign quite basic and decorating as on a mini budget as in the process of attempting to buy first house at the mo. Going to try on dresses tommorrow...

Hi ruthybee.... you're getting married the day after me!!

I was in the same boat as you when I first found this place, not panned a thing and now its coming together nicely!!

My aunty hired a church hall quite cheaply and decorated it with balloons and the like.... We had a brilliant night.... except fot the fact they didn't have a bar so sold warm cans of beer!!!

Hey Mrs Moore..... a bit of a stand still for the BM dresses at the min.... been researching where to go on honeymoon and there's too much football on TV to spend time looking for them!! Still not seen anything I really like.... I'm asuming its gonna be like with the wedding dress, you just know when you see it!!

Still debating whether to buy/hire or chance Chinese ones. I am the most indecisive person in the world and wish I had someone who would just say "these are what you are having... like it or lump it!!"

Awwww I can't wait to get my dress.... gonna send of the deposit this week and my dressmaker is waiting for a few more fabric samples to arrive before I choose which I want!! Can't wait to see my design on paper!! You must be sooo excited!! x

I may yet go down the chine route, I guess it will all hinge on this shopping trip I have planned and see what can be found within budget.

I wont actually get my dress until early next year but im soooooo excited! Deposit paid and measurement appt booked for sept :-)

Hey Snoopysox, you can't be as indecisive as me as I haven't even got my ring yet! Hoping my (3rd) ring will come in the post this week and that i'll like it so I can finally have a ring to show off.

Shopping trip for dress went well. I've found 2 dresses I like, I just have to decide whether to go for the more expensive one (traditional with train £650) or 50s style shorter one for £200. I keep alternating between the two as cheaper one would be so much easier to dance in and so money saving. Think i'll try and book a venue first and see which one "fits".

Hi ruthybee.... I had no choice with my ring, it was a complete surprise and he picked it himself!! Was extremely lucky cos its exactly what I would have picked.... I think!! I'm so indecisive I couldn't choose between all the dresses I liked so having bits of them all made into one!!! I would be torn apart if I'd gone shopping and had a choice of 2 like you!!

I think I have sorted where we're going for honeymoon now and I'm hoping to book it tomorrow before I change my mind again!! H2B is so fed up of me umming and arring now though!! He wants to stay in the top notch room, but I keep thinking we could have another holiday with that money!! Think I'm gonna book the next one down and hope they have room to upgrade us in resort as its much cheaper!!

There is another thread on here about some BM dresses that have arrived and they got them from China - they look quite good! Im very tempted! x
