Aww thank you discodiva001. I did get it from here http://www.cakedecoration.co.uk/specials.ihtml last year and it cost me £75. If i am honest it was so not worth that price as it is plastic. It looks amazing but just not worth that amount of money. I paid that for it because i couldnt find any anywhere and i really wanted one. Not very MSE i know but hey ho i paid it.discodiva001 wrote: »What a fantastic cake Bride2be24, i absolutely love it. and the water fountain underneath, where did you get that? its fab

Definately!
Thank you ladies, I will post all about my wedding later today... I want to recommend all the brilliant companies/people we have booked but none of my friends are marrying, and I guess you are all sorted now. My fiance is a machine, and most of our stuff was sorted before the end of August last year, just slight details to be amended... it's quite scary how organised she can be... I joke that she better take her Monica-in-friends-esque headset off to walk down the aisle in...0 -
Love the centrepieces Magicboo - I think the flowers in them are bougainvillea if I'm not mistaken, as they used to grow on my balcony when I was little (lived in a hot country).
Gleeful I love your wedding mood board. That blue is one of my favourite colours. I keep seeing really nice bridesmaid dresses in the sales, and wishing I still had one.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
hey everyone. hope all doing ok!!
am loving all the cakes - they are so nice!!!
me and OH were talking bout our cake cos plan was to make a 3 tier and just have white icing all sitting on top of each other and then coloured ribbon round the sides in different thicknesses... if makes sense. Was going to do it with OH dad as didnt just want fruit cake as OH doesnt like it unless home made!
though we decided that we are going to go down the cupcake route now!
so will be making the cakes and having them in pink and orange cases, white soft icing in swirl on the top with some silver shimmer dust (fairy dust!) and a black iced cut out mickey mouse head shape pn the top. i my head it looks nice on a stand... whether we can just get the image to reality! will make a larger cake for the top of the stand so we have something to cut properly that was can still find a mickey and minnie topper!!!
Loving the mood boord too gleeful! the blue is lovely!!
magicboo - love those centre pieces too, so pretty. those colours together will look stunning!!
am starting the packing tomo with OH properly as he is off, and as invites are all handed out one less thing to pack!! lol. then we can do wedding talk and work out what we can afford to buy at the mo. just want to do things now!!!!! its getting so close isnt it!! :j:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!
Our little princess born 8th June - she is amazing!! :grinheart

Well, the company only had 4 candelabra's in stock!!!
So I went back to the drawing board and have bought different ones.
Bought the last of the favours today.

I am stressing out big time and i dont know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!
Me & H2B are stressing out about money. with 15 weeks to go we still need to pay off about £1500. we need to pay off string quartet, photographer, suits, bridesmaid dresses (which are being sorted as we speak), rooms for H2B grand parents, cake and i dont think we can raise that money in the short space of time. There is no overtime going at our work and H2B work during the day has very little. We dont own a credit card and will never own one so we dont know what to do. My mum, dad, sister and H2B parents thinks everything is ok and were not worrying like we are doing. If they found out i dont know what i would do. We cant ask them for money because my mum and dad are paying towards wedding and his mum and dad are putting towards a honeymoon. What do i do?????:T Became Mrs Allison on 23rd April 2011

For the rooms for H2B's grandparents, have you got any pigsback vouchers that you haven't spent that could lessen the cost. Or Tesco clubcard vouchers? Could you ebay some things or do a carboot? Could you advertise your services as a babysitter or dog walker in a local shop (or through a leaflet drop)? Just been reading an article by Martin about renting out your spare room to a lodger - you can set a nightly rate for travellers on this website. Or you can see if you can join a market research company. I've just registered with the company recommended (Saros) to help me earn a bit of extra cash too (will let you know how I get on with it).Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Oh Dear B2B24, I'm sorry for you, is there anything you could (reluctantly) cut out and lose the deposit rather than have to find the extra? Could you make the cake or buy it from a supermarket and decorate it?
We are on a downer today, we've only just talked over menus with the caterer and they've come back with a quote of £27.50/head for canapes/pie & mash/rhubard crumble and coffee. We were hoping it would be about £20/head so need to change the food somehow or find an extra £700. They've quoted the hog roast for 150 people at £750 too, which we were expexting to be about £500 so that's nearly a grand we need to findis anyone else having more people in the evening? Are you feeding them, and if so, what are you feeding them?

Hi MagicBoo,
Why don't you look into bacon butties or fish and chips?? We are having bacon butties which are £5.50 per head so have saved quite a bit on the evening food, which is good as the day food is costing a small fortune!!!!0
