I read it as say goodbye to the family dog because hes moving out?

I'm just about to go down to the post office to see if I can get away with standard postage but I think not! I wish I hadn't put the paper roses on now! I've only got 30 to post thank goodness!

He is the family dog, is it bad I will miss him more than my family?

Welcome to the thread wba - nice to have a groom's perspective on here too - wonder how many of the other month threads have one.;) I missed my family cat more than my family when I moved out when I went to uni, so I wouldn't worry about missing your dog more than your family.

Well my wedding band is finally being made - went into the jewellers today and put down the deposit  so they are ordering in the materials to make it, and I've got to go back with my engagement ring in a week's time so that they can take impressions of it etc. It's going to feel really wierd not wearing it, as I've worn it for nearly 7 years!

Everybody is making me feel anxious about our wedding reception invitations now (reception on 22nd April). Trouble is, we still haven't worked out who our extra guests are going to be, as we don't have enough to meet the 40 we've paid for at the moment.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

sorry wba - missread your post as you were leaving your own pet dog at your folks house. D'oh! Dont worry, you will miss your dog but hopefully you will see dog very often... If its any consolation we have to take H2Bs dog back to his parents house as they miss him, its a bit like taking the grandchild to visit.

yes the postage is rubbish especially as I have a lot of second class Christmas stamps I was hoping to use up. My invite was borderline between large and small letter and I'd feel guilty if any guests have to stump up for extra postage.

Dont worry about the invites going out yet sexymouse, send yours out when you are ready. Its just a formality for me as most of my guests already know date and have booked hotels. I cant help looking at mine, I designed and drew my own location maps and did the layout in Quark using a free 60 day trial. Very proud with the end result and quite cheap (apart from the postage)!

Thanks for your welcome! The dog growled at me this morning because i said goodbye to him for going to work... not sure how he'll react when he realises im packing all my things to leave home!

If you need some extra guests you can take some of mine we wont be able to accomodate at my wedding... major headache!
