Morning All,
WE'RE GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR!!!!!!
Just a tad excited about it and about to write a proper full on list of things to do as a friend was asking things last night that I hadn't even realised I'd forgotten about!!
Anyway..Sexymouse, how about something along the lines of "Roland Rat and Sexymouse (and their parents-if you need) invite you to join their special wedding celebrations" or "Roland Rat and Sexymouse request the pleasure of your company at the celebration of their marriage vows"? Obviously the Roland Rat thing is just a joke name!!
Yesterday the H2B and I went up to Hatton Garden, Londons diamond quarter and bought my engagement ring :j:T:jI am so happy! and excited! It looks very much like this but it wasn't from Tiffanys! I would so recomend going somewhere like that, I couldn't believe the number of shops and all so different, so something for everyone! We looked a quite a few shops and different styles then I saw this one in a window and the H2B loved it too (there had been a couple of tense not-liking-what-each-other-likes moments!) so we went in and it was beautiful! It was too small, so they resized it for us whilst we had lunch. I am a very happy bunny especailly as we didn't think we would be able to afford anything!
Right, gotta get on with the long list of things to do!!

Happy New Year everyone. It's less than 4 months to go. Woohoo!

That's a gorgeous ring Magicboo, you must be over the moon. I'm supposed to be starting savingsmumof3's 30 day shred today, but still in dressing gown and nursing a slight headache from last nights shenanigans. Must get trimmed up for the big day. Or at least get off the sofa!

Happy New Year Ladies .... I am so excited at being able to say that i am getting married THIS year - isnt it a great feeling............. sloghtly worrying as feeling like loads left to sort out, but its good!!

Have got all invites made, some handed out over xmas, some more to be handed when back at work on tuesday and then the rest for the post!! will be glad to see the back of them to be honest, lol - one less thing to start packing!!

we are going to sit and write a to do list though and try and prioritise it to weeks/months etc to get scale on when things need sorting.

Yay we're getting married this year!!!!

Sexymouse, does it have to be a poem/do you want a poem? Obviously some people love them, I have to say I find them a bit on the cheesy side but it depends on what you/your guests will like.

We went to a wedding party after the wedding was held very privately, and the invitation was something along the lines of "X and Y are getting married on XX July 2010 at a private ceremony in Scotland. We would be delighted if you would join us to celebrate our union on XX August 2010 at 123 Venue, Anytown, from 7.30pm."

It seems to be quite a common thing to do nowadays so I wouldn't worry too much as long as it's clear that the party is to celebrate your wedding

Oh I am proud of myself! I have written my list of things to do..it does have about 75 things on it, but we'll get through it!
I have put together half our invitations..then we ran out of ribbon, so I've ordered some more, then I'll finish them, I've ordered the confetti and lavender, designed the banner on vistaprint, but not ordered it (hoping to get a freebie email for medium size rather than small ). We're meeting up with the caterers this week and H2B is going to talk to his pal in the band, so hopefully this time next week we will have the food and entertainment sorted !
Then we'll only have 72 things left to do :rotfl:
