    Morning All,
    Welcome Ruthybee!
Sammr-that cake is stunning! My pal and I have really got to knuckle down and start practising the wedding cake design etc..We are going for a topsy turvy cake, a bit like this I was thinking of buying cheap madeira cake and carving and icing that to practise, rather than making the cakes, does that sound like a good idea?
The caterers are coming over tonight, I am hoping they will do canapes, mash potato and veg (to go with the pies being made by a friend) and pudding plus all the staff for serving food and drinks for £15/head. Does that sound reasonable?
Any advice about what we should ask them please?
Aarchk-our rsvp is the 11th March. I wanted enough time to be able to invite other people if anyone couldn't come without making it look too much like they were a last-minute replacement!! We're not sending them out until the end of Jan though.
oohh-just remembered-someone told me stamp prices were going up soon, so make sure you buy them asap!

My cheeky finance asked his Gran for a tester wedding cake at Christmas so we got this! I dare not cut into it. I love wedding cake with fruit but i am trying to diet a little and tone up.

Hi all, I have never seen this thread before, I am getting married on April 16. We have been very lucky on saving money on things that we have been able to splash out on some luxuries for our day... I wish i could share all the companies and people we've used, but I bet you've all got stuff booked! hope all your days go well

    from a rather scared groom

(still got to find somewhere to live, move out of my mom and dads (i'm only young), say goodbye to my dog, and survive my stag do...)

why say goodbye to your dog? I prefer cats but my partner has a dog and we recently moved in together. I knew the dog was part of the package and wouldnt have it any other way!

I had bad news today, my invites are too deep for standard postage so having to go as large letter which is an extra 23p each second class and have to post 50 invites. pants.

I read it as say goodbye to the family dog because hes moving out?

I'm just about to go down to the post office to see if I can get away with standard postage but I think not! I wish I hadn't put the paper roses on now! I've only got 30 to post thank goodness!
