  • AAAAGGGGHHHH. I am sitting here in tears right now. :( After having to wait AGES for H2B's work to get his leave sorted (it was rejected 3 times despite being verbally approved each time), and it finally happening, and having to change where we wanted to stay on our honeymoon due to the room we wanted being gone as we couldn't book til the leave was sorted, I have just tried to book a gorgeous romantic hotel, and the flights.
We got money from H2Bs family (its our wedding present), and that was going to cover the deposit, internal flights and a night at the airport in London. My mum had agreed to let us use her CC to pay and transfer the cash from H2bs family.
So I got to the paying page - and because its not a package, its a flight and hotel, then you have to pay it in full. And is £1.5k more than we have at the mo. At the end of Jan it would be no probs, but not present.
I am gutted. I can't ask my folks to borrow the extra as they are already paying for the majority of the wedding. bloody honeymoons :(

Oh no :( Can you call them and make an arrangement to pay by instalments? Or (sorry, know it's not massively MSE) take out a loan to cover it & pay back in Jan if you're worried it will be gone by Jan?

On another note, I got the call from my dress shop today - MY DRESS HAS ARRIVED! My ACTUAL dress that I'm actually going to wear!!! So exciting. And very early - wasn't expected until end Dec/start Jan! Only thing is I wanted to get down to my goal weight before fittings and I'm not going to manage that (currently half a stone off it) but at least if I do put weight on again over Xmas, I will have more of a chance of getting back to my 'dress' weight again :)

So I'm going to try it on on Tuesday - yay!

Its not possible to pay by instalments :(. I know my parents could probably lend the money to us, but I don't want to do that, as they have done LOADS for me recently.
I am just going to have to suck it up and look for something else (again! Everytime we find something we love, there is a spanner in the works!). Nevermin, onwards and upwards!!

Oh Lavandyr, thats so exciting about your dress!!!:T:j:beer:

    Ooooooooh!!!!!! Can't believe it :):):)

Saw my venue in the snow last week - it looked beautiful, almost magical!! But yes, I'd rather have Spring sunshine *crosses all fingers and toes*

Hmm, 5 months to go, with Christmas and New Year's in between - I'd better get a wiggle on!!!
