Hi everyone - just wanted to say thankyou all so much for listening to me having a rant the other day and all being so kind - really appreciate it!!
Well we have found where we are going to move too - its only just down the road from where we are now so thats good.
Same sort of house, but instead of bathroom upstairs its a third bedroom and athroom is an extension downstairs. £75 cheaper rent each month and with the extra room would been silly to said no. Plus we will know that our sofa and bits will all fit OK downstairs as its exactly same size.
am very very relived - not sure am at the point where am 'excited' about it yet or happy, but its nice not having it play on my mind!!

so i am not thinking too much about all of that until after xmas when i need to start packing!!

not sure if will take you to right place, but if you look on the banner section its the very bottom right one on the first page.
I ordered the small both times around, but the size we got doesnt match what it says on the front page. i reckon its about size of about 4 advent calendars put together.... lol: not got a ruler or anything and the banner is on top of wardrobe box (had instructions not allowed to reach for it any more!! lol)
was £3.80 on the slowest delivery option. Its kinda vinyl as well so good quality.
i was very excited when first one was delivered before!! decided we going to still use the other one with the wrong date and stick a picture of the next scan on there too and the date crossed out, lol.

boo hiss, didn't get to go to Hatton Garden today because of the snow even worse, I had a days holiday off work to go, and everyone else at work got the day off because of the snow-so double whammy boo hiss!
Curlylou-I've just suggested the banner idea to my H2B and he loves it-so thank you very much for the idea, we're going to get one too! And re the thank you bit-that's what we're here for!

Thats not good Magicboo - silly snow isnt it!!! it obviously doesnt realise we all have wedding plans to be sorting!!

no worries about the banners they are fab, when ordered the first one i got the banner, a mug and tshirt and was looking forward to the delivery.... even though the other bits were good, i was over the moon with the banner!! think i pretty much told everyone! :rotfl:
so hopefully yours will be good too!!
what desgin do you think you are going for?

we are going to get normal 'foil' banners to put on a few walls, but the hall is quite bare: apart from the rugby bits, so kinda wanted some nice things to take the attention away from it.

am trying to think of some other cheaper ways to do some bits in the hall - we going to have some balloons etc, just want to make it look 'nice' lol.
Thinking about how to display some pictures of me and OH when were growing up.... not sure whether to 'peg' them onto a line and attach that some how in one part of the hall, or to try and get some sort of board with them attached too i think. not sure!

I am ordering a banner from vista print. Just leaving it till nearer the time.

curlylou - I have seen a washing line type thing with photos on in one of the mags this month. You could just get normal wood pegs and maybe spray paint them and peg up some pics? the one I saw had random bits hanging up as well, copies of book covers, flags and silk flowers etc.

You could also do a fake living room wall section with some wallpaper in your colours and cardboard picture frames with the pictures on. sounds complicated, again seen used as a table plan in a magazine this month. I love the idea and am seriously considering it for baby pics of the wedding party (a kind of guess who game for those queuing for the buffet). You could even stick a set of coronation st syle flying ducks on too! will try and scan in but printer is tempermental...

Well I spoke to the person who was meant to be coming to Jamaica with us as our only guest (and my bridesmaid) today and she has finally given me an answer about whether she can go - she says she can't afford it, so I'm minus any guests or bridesmaids, and have a bridesmaid dress and her jewellery too. At least I could get away with wearing the dress for an evening do. I'm not feeling too bad about it really - if anything I'm relieved as it means we won't be worrying about her being in the other hotel on her own. Still, it would've been nice to have someone there that we knew. Have got an appointment at another jewellers now as the jeweller that I was meant to see on the snow day (thursday) won't be having another design day until March 31st! What annoyed me more was I found out that they'd opened in the afternoon, and not bothered to tell me - I could've come in! Anyway, hopefully the guy I'm seeing on Wednesday will be better anyway as apparently he has 20 years' experience in making jewellery.

I collected my Jenny Packham Acacia II headpiece and tried my dress on again yesterday. Felt like a princess. The shoes I have bought don't match at all, so we popped to a wedding shop and picked some plain ones which will be dyed to match my dress. How exciting!

Having a horrible time at work at the moment, so got other things to be thinking about rather than the wedding, really

Mrs Moore, big coincidence - we got taken to your reception venue for lunch on Sunday by h2b parents! Was really yummy

Got stupidly excited yesterday as our cake toppers arrived! Don't know why I got so excited, think it's just that things are all starting to come together now!

We went for something a little different to top our cupcake tower (with a top tier cutting cake)...

Pretty much exactly the same as these but the lady has personalised them to our colour scheme of hot pink and dark navy blue.

They're even more adorable in real life!

We really wanted something that we could display for years to come without it looking too weddingy iyswim!

Hi Peeps,
Well, we've just spent 4 days in France where I took my wedding planning notebook, magazines I wanted to steal ideas from and lots of good intentions and did...zilch in terms of wedding planning!
BUT..now I'm back and I am going to get organised.
So, here is my list I intend to get through in the next week:
*find a gig for the band we think we want.
*look at ideas for canapes/pie fillings/puddings so we are ready for the caterers meeting in Jan.
*pick colours for and order the bunting
*buy the cake toppers (love yours, Honey rose!)
I'll leave it at that for the moment I think! The H2B is in France for at least another week, so hopefully I won't get distracted!

Just been to give notice! It's all real and happening and everything! I'm a tad giddy! Also made the huge to do list and allocated tasks between me and OH. I think its the first time that he's actually realised how much work is involved so he looked a tad overwhelmed but he's defo stepping up to plate and getting stuck in which is ace.

I'm also halfway through printing the inserts for our invites but I've had to clear about 9 paper jams already. Grrrrrrrrrrr stupid printer.

Next job is choosing honeymoons! Are any of you guys going straight after the wedding in April? We are and we're choosing between Marrakesh and the Amalfi Coast in Italy - very very excited.

Have you guys had any relief from the snow yet? We've been really lucky here in Manchester and we've escaped the worst of it. Hope you are all well xx
