cookie - the obvious flowers that spring to mind (excuse the pun) are the spring flowers - daffodils, tulips, hyacinth, iris etc. Will have a look and see if I can find any links to flowers in season.
Here is a link to flowers in season in April - cornflowers would look lovely if you are having the blue dresses. The sea holly (eryngium) would also look stunning for a scottish theme.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Cookie, we've gone for this dress: http://www.coast-stores.com///coast/fcp-product/2143405615
Found trying to find dresses in the 'right' colour blue a bit of a nightmare! I've gone down the highstreet route rather than the bridal shops and Coast has been by far the best shop around!
Getting them delivered this week so fingers crossed they will all fit...!0 -
I'm back on the BM dress hunt after my ebay dress diaster! DD is so fussy and I can't get her to tell me what she likes! Teenagers!!
I got my flowers the other day and am really pleased with them! Picture here:

Ah, thats the question. H2B and I went travelling round the world 2 years ago. We have never had a normal "holiday" - our flights have always been 12 hrs or more!! So we think we fancy Greece (nice wee 4 hr flight)!0 -

Had a message left on the answermachine at home when I got in from work, and my wedding dress has arrived - I need to call them to arrange my fitting and to pay the balance. I'm really worried that I've put on loads of weight since I last went in and that the dress will be too tight! This is the first time in my life that I've actually put on weight for some reason, and I don't want to be this big in my dress. Usually during the summer, I lose weight because I go out more and exercise more, but the weather this summer has been so awful that I've not been out of the house much.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hello,
Please can I join your forum? I am very excited after reading all your posts, I wish I had discovered this thread earlier!
We are getting married on the 30th April in Hampshire. We have booked the church and the photographer, we know we're having the reception in my parents garden and my friend is doing the flowers but have yet to book a marquee/caterers think about colour schemes/work out how to decorate the marquee/think about invites (but am now planning on sending them out with the Christmas cards-thanks for the tip!)/book a band or DJ/find BM dresses..
in fact, I'm now becoming a tad worried about how disorganised I am...:oI thought I had loads of time but reading through everyones posts, i think I'd better kick into action!
Oh, the other thing we have organised..we are off to New Zealand for the honeymoon for the rugby world cup in Sept/Oct next year :T although yet again, we haven't actually booked much of it...just put our names forward for the ticket ballot!!
Right, must go and read some MSE wedding tips..0 -
oopps..just remembered-I've got my wedding dress sorted!! It was the first thing I did after the H2B proposed. I tried on 50+ dresses and ended up buying the 2nd one I tried on! Thought it was special but wanted to enjoy trying on wedding dresses for what will hopefully be the only time I get to do it in my life!!
Thank you people for having this thread, I'm all excited about the wedding now! x0 -
I tried on several but it was the third one that I went for. Have to wait until February for it now. Paid the depoisit for the venue - waiting for a quote for the band. Thanks Lavendyr for letting me know what to expect. Great tips about the flowers too. Thinking blue or maybe teal for bridesmaids. Other half given task of sorting out a photographer but have a feeling he hasn't done anything yet.MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

I've been looking at invitations over the weekend, I thought I had no chance of being able to make my own, as I don't have a single craft-y bone in my body, but after a visit to a craft shop, I reckon I can do something half decent! When is anyone sending out their invitations? I was going to send them out with our Christmas cards, but the H2B thinks that's a bit early...0
