They are duck egg blue and are made of chiffon.
They come just below the knee and are strapeless. Am I allowed to post a pic?
Oh well, lets see what happens if I do...here they are (hopefully!):

Bum. It didn't work. They are very pretty though! so excited about it...but not so excited about the fact that my BM's want to wear wedge wellies on the day!! I don't mind wellies for the reception in the garden, but I think I would like them to wear pretty shoes in the church!!
Mrs Moore to be...I may have to steal your wine charm idea....it's fab! People will love it! But I don't have a craft-y bone in my body or patience...so maybe it's not such a good idea!!

Magicboo - the dresses sound lovely!
Mrs Moore to be - wine glass charms sound fab. How do you make them?

  • Magicboo & Cookie9,

Awww thanks for liking my idea!

You make them by getting some of these from ebay or craft shop:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290482255027&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

You then pick what colour you want your beads, ive gone for silver and pink, I would get various sizes, ive gone for 6mm (in diameter) and 4mm, something like these is good so you get a mix of shades:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180335476910&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

You then pick something for the charm - the hanging bit in the centre. Well you dont have to but can do if you wish. Im not sure what im having yet but you could get initials, hearts, anything like this:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120625264081&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

To make them you literally just put the beads on - they will ahve holes in them so you thread them on in the order you want and then hopefully they will end up looking something like this:
    http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x122/nicsnaks/Wedding%2520Wine%2520Glass%2520Charms/BlueandClearBeadSnowflake.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.wedding-ideas-magazine.com/index.php%3Fshowtopic%3D73726&usg=__TalFApygkgr89M5fry2nypOwzf0=&h=768&w=1024&sz=174&hl=en&start=137&sig2=rId5TZonPErHe9eBUYxhCw&zoom=1&tbnid=0ODRQLcyV1LgwM:&tbnh=131&tbnw=203&ei=9d6qTJ2UFY6r4AbJ3cT_Bw&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dwine%2Bglass%2Bcharms%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7ADFA_en%26biw%3D1276%26bih%3D783%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C3253&um=1&itbs=1&biw=1276&bih=783&iact=rc&dur=233&oei=x96qTJKUKs-F4Qb--fG7Bw&esq=6&page=6&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:137&tx=84&ty=128

I like crafty things but even those who are not crafty - magicboo - can do these. Im having a wine charm 'party' and invited a few close friends and mum round to help make them one night, few bottles of wine, pizza, girly chat and it makes making them a lot quicker! If anyone wants anymore info then let me know xx

I am in Shrivenham but originally from Oxford. Wedding is in Sandford on Thames and Reception is Abingdon. I think Didcot is a bit too far for a florist to either deliver flowers or for us to collect the morning of the wedding. I'm still trying to work out if I should make the table centres myself and use artifical then have real for bouquets?? And then what flowers to have that stick to the monochrome theme and won't break the bank!! oh decisions decisions!!

  • sammr - aftificial would prob be cheaper ;):money:

We picked up BM dresses at the weekend - they look amazing. one of my BM's tried hers on and its perfect. MOH round tonight for hers and my other BM is at uni so she wont get to try hers for a while.

OH tried suits on and I was taken aback on how amazing he looked, almost felt guilty that I got to see him in a suit and he doesnt get to see my dress, I didnt get to see the whole ensemble though so will get that treat on the day. He just looked SOOOO handsome! :o:smileyhea He doesnt wear suits often so was a real suprise.

    28 weeks this Sat

Ooooo v.exciting MM2B :) I'm just waiting for my bridesmaid dresses to come in stock in the required size then I can finally get the last 2 ordered! E-mailed our local vicar today too as we need to have Bann's read here as well as in the church we intend to marry! So thats another thing to do off the list, oh and I also rang the bridal shop and confirmed our wedding date for my dress :)

I have seen a couple of ideas for table centres which I could do with artifical, I suppose I could just buy 1 and make it up and decide from there lol

oh and just under 26 weeks for ours!!
