Hey! I'm sorry I haven't checked in for a while - sounds like everyone's planning is going well!

We have been making good progress - bought bridesmaids' dresses (they all agreed on the same dress - fantastic!) and ordered suits all from the same place as I bought my dress.

Have also had to re-book honeymoon as the pretty cottage we bought has been put up for sale by the owner and couldn't guarantee that it'd be available to us Found out in the worst way too - found it on a property website - rather than the agent letting us know, which was a bit of a shame. But found another lovely place to go now, yay

Nearly 6 months now - eeeee!

well we've sorted the insurance this evening and have just been emailed the proof for our invitations-they are brill! I am SO excited about them! :j

So, I stumbled across this thread and thought I should finally sign up to MSE!

We're getting married on April the 16th and I'm in the process of frantically trying to plan how to do the majority of the work myself. It's so exciting to read what everyone else is up to so I look forward to keeping up to date with everyone's planing.

Lol, I emailed our vicar too, he has asked we pick readings, hymns, music etc before new year :eek:

Called our local church too, as like you we are not gettingmarried in parish, vicar is on hols for 2 weeks so cant do anymore on that yet.

Im just waiting for proofs for invites to come back then we can get started on them :T

I set up our wedding website yesterday and today it says 178 days to go!!!

Just brought the flowergirls shoes so thats another thing off the list, I also have my eye on some for myself on ebay!

I still haven't heard back from the vicar of our parish, I think I will give him a few more days then ring him.

I think I will look into ordering the bits to make our invitations today, hopefully I can at least note down all the bits we need to get a price per invite. Anyone have any recommendations for where you can get some quality but very MSE bits to make invites??

Thanks for the welcome, I'm from Lewisham in London. I bought my dress on ebay last month, thought I'd risk it and it turned out great. Long fishtail lace dress for £93. Can't complain.

Desperately trying to find somewhere reasonable to have the reception. Got a lead to follow up today so feeling tentatively excited about that
