one of my BM & I have been practising the wedding cake today, we have made a very rough version to see what our ideas looked like. It looks good, needs a bit of tweaking, and the final product will take considerably longer than the 2 hours we spent playing this afternoon, but I'm glad we know what we're doing now!
Now I'm off to look at vistaprint leaflets to see if I can make our order of the days on there-thanks for the idea B2B24!

as for my hair thank you first of all. The first style i had some clip in extensions in that i bought for my cousins wedding back in september (which are blonde - cant really tell though) but the second style is all my own hair. My hair colour is Strawberry Blonde (even though most people say its Ginger lol which i hate!!!!)

I got mine from VP too. They are really fab! I ordered 25 for free then waited a few days and ordered another 25 for free. Bargain :money:

Wow people how busy has this weekend been!!

So yesterday sorted out cake out - kindda settled for something rather than insist on a fiddly design - especially when its being done FOC for us.

Also went on the trail for a wedding ring for OH which gave us ideas but nothing concrete. Then went to try and solve my BM dress crisis.

We had ordered 3 dresses from a german supplier on Amazon. When they turned up all 3 were the wrong size and wouldn't fit. So I called them and they said to return them. Just waiting for the other two to be sent to me before I send them all back. Will loose my postage though £15 oh well

More than I wanted to spend but if they fit it will be worth the hassle. Is anyone else having this problem?

Today we went to Manchester to pick OH suit up and think we may have found his ring from Ernest Jones YAY at last!!

I pick my dress up this Friday - OMG can't wait! had a bit of a wobbly bit on sat as tried a dress on in Debenhams and had to get a 14 so started to panic my dress would be too big but think it was just their sizing....:rotfl:

How are people doing their table plan? not quite sure where to start....

I haven't even thought about table plans or orders of service. I am off the whole week before the wedding so I think I shall be sorting that out then. Too busy with work at the moment!

33 days for me. Our weddings are going to be here in the blink of an eye!

I have discovered the US show 'Say yes to the dress' and have downloaded loads of episodes. I'm hooked!

Thank you basically just how your day is going to pan out. on mine i had menu, ceremony details like music reading etc, thank you`s, rememberance of loved ones and times of hows the day will go etc x

B2B24 - your hair looks fabulous - both up and the half and half. I think thats my favourite, as it looks a bit more different! Both styles are gorge though!

As for the strawberry blonde - one of BMs daughter has beautiful ginger hair, but when she was wee she would have a tantrum if you called her ginger and she would stamp her foot and say it was strawberry blonde!! Its more strawberry blonde, than the orangey ginger to be fair, but its a lovely colour!

I'm curious about the order of the day leaflets too - will each guest get one when they arrive? I hadn't thought of doing that, but it might be really useful so guests know when they're going to eat etc.

Haven't done much weddingy this weekend - although we did sort out our seating plan, as best we could. Meeting up with photographer for the first time on Friday and then dress fitting on Saturday! Can't wait to try it on again. Hope dress still fits, and goes with my odd collection of shoes, tiara, necklace etc.

Advice from those who've done their dress fittings - I got myself a corset to wear underneath, but not sure if I should bring it to the fitting. For those who are planning to wear corsets - will you be wearing it under the dress or slip into it later on... ?
