    Hi All,
Well this evening I've been playing with a guest book idea. I found a really cool guest book here but it costs a fortune and has to be posted from the US, so I thought I would make my own version! It is taking a while, but with the help of clip art and my friends ideas for questions for the guests, it's looking pretty good!

Arghhhhh Magicboo. I LOVE those guestbooks. Hang on, you love them, of course ill want them as we have identical weddings!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I may have to make my own too.... are you doing it by buying a ring binder type folder and putting the pages in? If so I could help, I will be ordering some binders at work and they usually come as pack of 5, in return for help im happy to post a binder!?

Me three on the guest books they look FAB!!!!!

Gonna prob print our own Order of Service. I read on theknot.com, about wedding programs. Basically its an order of service but with games and funny stories in i.e. why you have chosen that particular music, introducing the wedding party, who the bridesmaids are and why you picked them, something to keep them amused while they are waiting for me :)

Magicboo - could I be cheeky and ask for a look when you've done... I haven't time to be creative lol

Well onto BM dress number 3!! first one sent out fits just waiting to see if the second one looks ok, if it does we can rock ahead with that I can start to concentrate on the rest of the wedding aarrgghh

This week is nuts... Weds have dance lesson, Fri pick dress up, Sat, pick my ring up think sunday is free!!!

We have ordered 18 paper licenses for those elderly members of the family who don't use computers and am a bit disappointed with Mandalay Stationary as they have been fab all the way through but invites that were sent out recorded last Thursday still aren't here :( Starting to get panicy now....

Worried about Dance lessons as they chap is incredibly into disney and wanted us to pretty much act our way through the song but I have said no we will do the first bit where Dave asks me to dance and then go into a romantic waltzy thing am sooo worried its going to be crap - should we percervere (can't spell) or just wing it as its costing us £12 a session.....

Starting to panic about make up and hair too... a friend offered to do my make up so we are going to go through her stuff and see what we can do. But hair is bugging me as I still haven't spoken to a hairdresser!!!

Really need a band but like Magicboo we have been let down by our first choice - friends who are really good and now need to look at either a disco or another band ..... poopy

My careful planning has gone a bit awry! The BM's dresses are crap. One far too big and one too small. Don't have the time/money/inclination to get them altered so they are being returned and I'm on the hunt for more.
My make up trial was crap. She just wouldn't listen to what I wanted. The make up was lovely and really well applied etc but not what I asked for. Have been looking for someone else with a view to changing so wasted money on a trial for nothing :(
Hair trial was Ok, nice enough you can't really go wrong with curls. But I think she took the pi$s with travel expenses so I've emailed them today to clarify.
Still need a balck shirt for the baby........

I found a gadget so i can do my teenage bridesmaids hair pretty painlessly and quick on ebay :) I had a test a quick ponytail and gadget on sunday morning and her hair was transformed into a full bun in about 20 seconds. My hairdresser best friend was stunned and wants some gadgets to lol

Evening ladies (& gent, if you're still lurking!)
CSH-I'm sorry you're having troubles, is it worth speaking to your make up person, or are you not comfortable with them now?
I've had enough of my wedding at the moment, I want to run away and get married in secret. My Mother CANNOT stop herself from interfering and making subtle digs when she doesn't like something. Today, it is the fact that she thinks a hog roast in the evening won't be enough food for the evening guests and they will be expecting more, so she wants a full-on meal for them with salads & potatoes etc...I explained that that wasn't what we wanted, people wouldn't expect a big meal and we didn't have the space to seat everyone if they had to sit down and she told me that as the "hostess" of the day, she wouldn't be comfortable not offering "her" guests a proper meal.
THEN I tell her (trying to keep her involved, even though she's driving me mad!) we have decided to have a 3 tier wedding cake, 1 tier chocolate, 1 tier lemon & the top tier fruit and ask her if she is happy to make the top tier, as she has mentioned it before and she comes back that as there is only 1 fruit tier, perhaps I should offer it to my sister because she had been really excited about making a layer of the cake, so she would forego her layer for my sister. It sounds SO pathetic, I know, but my mum is SUCH a martyr, she drives me MAD!! As it is, I emailed my sis and easily agreed that she & my Mum would make the fruit tier together, then nearer the time, I would see if either of them had time to help me make the chocolate or lemon cake!
Sorry for the whinging rant, I've just had enough today!!
But BTW-when I've finished my guest book making, I'm happy to email it to anyone-especially you, MM2B, after all, if I don't, our weddings won't be identical!! x

Hi Becks92 - It was me that did the map in Quark, you can download it for a free 60 day trial. You can do it in word or powerpoint as well though, its just I used to work in marking and find these things easier in proper publishing software. I basically just traced the roads on a standard road map book using a black ink pen and then scanned this in and inserted the pic into a document. The details (road names, village names and arrows etc) were added in using the computer. Its a bit more fiddly to do in word as things can jump around but it does work, especially if you group items together once they are in position. Am currently without Quark as the free trial ran out and waiting for geeky friend to sort out another copy for me but can send you a photo of the map so you can see what I did? just PM me your email if you want this (dont want to post the pic online!).

Did bootcamp last night and the chap in charge showed me extra exercises to do at home which will tone my upper arms up - I dont want to have bingo wings at the wedding... panicking about me shoes and stuff now and must order another veil from the veil lady on ebay as now not having a blusher.
