    Hi All,
I'm now feeling like I need to actually get on and do something towards the wedding and get excited about it! I'm not dreading it or anything, but I can easily go a few hours (maybe even the entire day!) without thinking about it! :o I need to find some of your excitment ladies!!
MM2b-I have a suspicion my hen doo is in Bournemouth-and now I know yours is, I'm convinced mine will be, we've copied it other on so many things, I feel like I HAVE to go to Bournemouth now!!
Sammr-glad you have news on your dress, even if it's not what you wanted to hear, at least you have a date now for trying it on.
Still waiting for at least 2 thirds of the RSVPs..they have until tomorrow! I think most of them are coming, if not, it will be a very intimate affair!! Must get the rest of our evening invitations out...

Feeling a bit down at the moment - sorry for the moan below, especially as I know lots of you are going through a lot worse than me at the moment.

Well my hen-do is going to be smaller and quieter than I had hoped for. It's on the 19th March and I'm having 4 people over during the day for beauty treatments (my beautician does hen-dos at home for a £13 call-out fee), and then in the evening I've got about the same number coming over for dvds and pizza. I had invited a few more people than that, but quite a few can't make it for various reasons. It's not how I expected my hen-do to be, but as I had no-one to organise it for me, it's another thing I've had to do myself.

Had an unexpected prang in my brand new car on Friday, which has left me with a bill for £280 on Monday when I take it in to be repaired, which wasn't helpful and I'm kicking myself about it.

Have still not got enough guests for the reception when we come home (we paid for 40, but only have 30 people confirmed as coming), which is stressing me out, as I'm running out of people to ask, and Moon doesn't have anyone either.

I've got my last dress fitting on 20th, so will have to pay the alteration fee and the rest of the carry box price (up to £175 in total), and Moon has to have his suit jacket taken in (he got a size too big) which he will have to pay £150 for.

The whole point of us going abroad for our wedding was to save money, and we haven't saved much at all - my parents haven't given us any help with money, so most of the wedding has been paid for by me and I only work part time!

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the wedding part (just Moon and I in Jamaica on a beach with a couple of witnesses), and I even bought a new bikini today from Primarni, but my bank balance is taking a beating and I'm starting to wish we hadn't bothered with a reception. :(
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/2017

aww Sexymouse, I'm sorry you're feeling down. Can you change your return party plans at all or will you lose lots of money in the deposite? Could you maybe change the location to somewhere smaller so you don't need to worry about numbers? I've seen somewhere else on here someone asking if you could use the deposit of somewhere you cancel for a meal or something-could you try that so you could cancel?
I'm going to go through my to do list this evening to see what I can organise to try and get me in the wedding mood! I think my problem is that I'm doing what I always used to do at school and with assignments at Uni...leaving it until the last minute! But I just feel like if I sort anything out (like make the cones for the confetti) that I'm being rediculously organised and people will laugh at me :o
On a more positive note, hopefully tomorrow my Dad will have completion on my Grandparents farm, which he has been trying to sell for 3 years (kept being stopped by family nightmares!), so he will be able to help pay for the wedding  hopefully it will make him happier too as he's become SO down on everything because the of the farm sale problems. :A
    :j:j50 days tomorrow!!!:j:j

I had a total wedding stress out today, which caused me to cry in the middle of Asda! Had just been in to pick up some shopping, went back to the car, went to put the car into gear and noticed my engagement ring was not on my finger!
Cue frantic searching of the car, shopping bag, car park, and then the self service till that I was at. Bless the wee lad that was helping there, he was lovely, raked all about to no avail. I retraced my steps, then phoned my mum in tears - who said she would come and help look. Went back out to the carpark, phoned my friend in the hope that she would calm me down, and just as I told her what had happened, I saw my wee ring, sitting in a wee dip in the road. My mum arrived just at the same time, and I truely thought I might faint with relief.
I am not telling H2B, he will go mad. I have emailed my wedding ring designer though, to see about getting it resized.

All is well that ends well, thank heavens!:T

    Hi all!

Apologies for delay in updating. Just been sorting out money etc. Paying off things and got my first hen next Sat, 2nd one the weekend after but not sure how many people are coming. Have told people I need to know to book an area, but right now the only deffos are 3 of us, including me! Then I have issues with the honeymoon money-anyone else going down this route too? Have had nothing and am bricking it that we'll have lots of toasters and not enough money to do the things we want to do.... arghh.

Wedding topper pics have been rec'd though, and venue being paid today. Got to order tissue paper for pom pom making and have loads of jam jars for reception decoration.

    Phew!

    6 weeks today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have just emailed my final numbers to the venue and await my painful final invoice! Unfortunately when working out out budget I counted up to the wedding day(payday) and not the day when I had to pay (march 22nd) so I'm about 1200 short which I'll need to free up from somewhere this week. D'oh!

Hair and make-up trial tomorrow and DD's BM dress defo will not ever fit her! Need to try and scam a smaller sz somehow.....
