When you've got the tiniest house and four kids there's no room for much stocking up!

Even now I'm down to 2 at home I think I'm doing well if I've got 12 loo rolls spare on top of the 9 or 12 pack we're currently on!:rotfl:

I don't usually go that mad but a couple of months ago or local Somerfield were doing whole frozen ducklings cheap and I bought 6.

When the checkout girl asked me what I was going to do with all those ducks I told her I was going to take them to the park and teach them how to fly :rotfl:

    The infamous Beef in Gravy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brought me to this site last September and has paid for my MFI furniture with Tesco.

I had a freezer full of the stuff and have only recently finished it all.

I have stocked up for years. Even when I had a one bedroom tiny ground floor flat and not a lot of cupboard space. I choose my bed because it was a pine frame so there is loads of space underneath it for storage.

And I had 4 storage boxes that went in the cupboard under the stairs for next door.

And it is amazing what fits under the sofa as well ;)

    Yours

I had an ex boyfriend whose family were SERIOUSLY wealthy, yet his mum was addicted to bogofs and boots points etc. Their house was absolutely rammed to the rafters with stuff that they never used I remember nearly breaking my toe tripping over a bulk bought box of slim fast shakes!- the most ridiculous thing I remember was them being unable to use their sauna because it was jam packed with fish food - even though they didn't own any fish! On the up side, I never had to buy cosmetics while I was going out with him, as there was a huge stockpile in the guest bedroom!

I know! I like to bogof and bulk buy with the best of them (posh shampoo for me, or loo rolls and general keep-able groceries!) It was most bizarre - they had a pool house and sauna that they couldn't access for stockpiled stuff! If I could afford that, I'd still be thrifty, but not to the point where I was wasting the resources I had!

kiwichick: at least you'll have plenty of flour in for making cakes and biscuits for your Christmas hampers for people! lol

Mine had to be the time when Tesco's had over ordered pineapples and reduced tonnes of them down to 20p. From memory I bought 30!

I did it in mind of making wine (which I did), but I did get some seriously odd looks walking round with 30 in the shopping trolley! :rotfl:
