I don't usually go that mad but a couple of months ago or local Somerfield were doing whole frozen ducklings cheap and I bought 6.

When the checkout girl asked me what I was going to do with all those ducks I told her I was going to take them to the park and teach them how to fly :rotfl:

Just had to say thank you so much for making my morning :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have worked out the day My local Waitrose reduces its meat and i am having to be careful i don't get a reputation for buying up all their reduced items lasdt week for £15 I got...

    huge shoulder of lamb
    2 neck fillerts
    4 portions of braising steak
6 pieces beef (for pot roasting each will serve 2)
    12 sausages
    2 pieces of salmon
    2 x 500g of minced beef
    2 sirloin steaks
    6 spare ribs
    2 sardines

I am a manic bulk buyer of meat so much so that i now no longer have room for my frozen veggies and have to admit i really don't need to buy any for a long while but its so cheappppppppppppppppp

I have 12kg of pasta shells in the garage - Asda for some reason were selling the 3kg bags of pasta shells for 50p although all the other shapes were much more expensive!!

My best bargain was a whole salmon for 10p. They were reduced to £10.00 so I decided to get one. It was put into a white plastic body bag and off we went to the checkout. The 16yo there was so amazed by the concept of a "whole " fish and was so busy showing to her mate on the next till that she entered 10 instead of 10.00. In my defense I bought a load of other stuff so I didn't notice in the final total, until I got home and looked at the receipt.

    How did you manage that????

I never seem to be in Tesco or Sainsbury's at the right time. They is quite often a good lot of stuff in the reduced fridge in my local Sainsbury's but it's never really an absolute bargain like that!!

    What am I doing wrong??
